CAR T-Cell Use Possible in Metastatic Castration-Resistant Prostate Cancer
Whereas immune checkpoint inhibitors have really changed prognosis in a major way for diseases like melanoma and renal cell
carcinoma
, creating these durable remissions, you just don’t see that same impact of standard immunotherapy like checkpoint inhibitors in prostate cancer.

Surgeon says I'm intermediate risk, but I think I'm high risk based on the pathology report below
- Resection margins are negative for
carcinoma
; adenocarcinoma is less than 0.001 cm to the right base margin (see part #2). 4. Right pelvic lymph nodes, excision: - No tumor seen in three lymph nodes (0/3). 5. Left pelvic lymph nodes, excision: - No tumor seen in six lymph nodes (0/6).

Treatment decision: LDR brachy at MSK
One of those 7 cores had
carcinoma
in 67% per my urologist's lab's biopsy report (which was downgraded by MSK's analysis of the pathology, along with a few other aspects). Bone scan clear, and so is CT scan.

Basal cell carcinoma (BCC) is the most common form of skin cancer
Basal cell
carcinoma
(BCC) is the most common form of skin cancer and the most frequently occurring form of all cancers. While BCC is rarely life-threatening and rarely spreads beyond the original tumor site, if allowed to grow, they can become disfiguring and dangerous.

Liver Transplant – Letter to Donor family – totally gutted.
I had my liver transplant back in 2016 due to alcohol abuse and Hepatocellular
Carcinoma
. For a good 10-months post-transplant, I suffered terribly with survivors guilt and PTSD. I honestly felt that writing that letter to the donor family was an honest reflection of my gratitude.

Since being diagnosed with first inflammatory breast cancer then told it was a typo, it was actually stage 3b invasive ductal
carcinoma
after a lumpectomy in December of 2017 and them insisting I rush into dense dose chemo, it’s been a nightmare of a different kind.
