VITAMANIA; A historical documentary on vitamins and supplements. From CuriosityStream (90 mins)
“100 years ago a new word in medicine was invented: vitamin. This year the world will spend over $100,000,000,000 on vitamins and supplements. ($40,000,000,000 in the US.) Dr. Derek Muller takes us on a world spanning investigation of vitamin science and history, asking how do we decide whether to take

The Cause Of Vitamin B-6 Toxicity (Updated)
Different forms of vitamin B-6. Credit: https://openi.nlm.nih.gov/detailedresult?img=PMC3412620_pone.0040954.g001&req=4. Carbidopa uses up vitamin B6. Age old question: does PD or L/C cause Dyskinesia?
I know there are recent studies out there that say that L/C doesn't - that PD's progression does. So someone just diagnosed might as well start on L/C straight away, right? But does anyone really know? Are the studies funded by the drug companies somehow? Asking for a recently diagnosed friend

current neurologist exam
My neurologist said

is not useful with tremors. He said its function is to get you moving. I am trying to post today's pull test video. Watch for it.

Who's taking Grapefruit juice and does it help you ?
It's now 2 months since I posted my article on the inhibition of Cytochrome P450 enzymes by Grapefruit juice and it's likely effect on improving the bio-availability of levodopa. If you tried it for a significant period, say 2 weeks or more, let me know how it worked for you. What dose did you take

Levodopa carbidopa starts to work 2:30 hrs after taking it...
Would anyone care to speculate why
Levodopa
carbidopa
100/25 - 3 x daily - taken 2 hrs after meals, only kicks in 2:30 hrs after swallowing and works only for about 30 min... I have been taking it since mid Feb. A couple of days after starting, I got this new rigidity that looks like dystonia .

Dystonia and Parkinson's disease: What is the relationship?
Dystonia and Parkinson's disease are closely linked disorders sharing many pathophysiological overlaps. Dystonia can be seen in 30% or more of the patients suffering with PD and sometimes can precede the overt parkinsonism. The response of early dystonia to the introduction of dopamine replacement therapy

Levodopa-Sparing Medications May Help Patients in Early Stages of Parkinson’s, Study Suggests
Neurologists treating patients with early-stage Parkinson’s disease should prescribe more often therapies that spare patients from starting levodopa too soon in order to delay onset of side effects associated with long-term use of the medicine, findings from a study conducted in Romania suggest. https

We are experimenting now with

, to help with stiffness. This is an experiment because hubby’s DAT scan does not reveal Parkinson’s. We think he has Parkinsonism traits, but not Parkinson’s (CONFUSING!).

Annual neurological check
This morning I made the annual neurological check from my PD diagnosis of May 2018. The therapy was 2 tablet Sinemet 100+25 mg. per day. Compared to the previous control, has been confirmed the substantial stability of the general situation. Pull test ok, cognitive tests ok, engine tests ok, balance

Stress and anxiety in Parkinson's - my 2 pennies worth
In response to a spam post about stress causing Parkinson's I started this answer which became too long winded as a response. I don't think stress causes Parkinson's as claimed (in fact I think it's a nonsense idea) but definitely stress causes problems in Parkinson's. Alongside the fact that stress
