Hello,

Just received call from hospital saying MRI shows diseases stabilised ( no progression) and the doctor is very happy with it.

This is after 3 rounds Caelyx/ Carbo with small decrease of ca 125 from 595 to 515 last time.

I don't know what to think...

Was expecting and praying so hard for decrease...

Not really understand also how the doctor can be happy.

I suppose I've to Trust them and I do trust. they are doing everything they can.

This is so difficult.

Anyone in similar situation?

Warm regards

Xxx

Hello Pumpkininja, I suggest you ask your doctor what is it that makes him/her so happy as you are puzzled and had hoped for a better response. This way, you may learn more about the sub-type of ovarian cancer you have and its response to chemotherapies?

I wish I could find something more positive to say, but all I can do is send warmest wishes and encourage you to keep learning, if you want to, about your particular cancer (mine is clear cell carcinoma) as it has helped me 'face' situations and options. I realised that when faced with this cancer, I felt like a little girl again, scared to look undeer the bed as I felt there were monsters lurking there! When I had the courage to peer under the bed, I felt tons better. xx

Thank you so much lesleysage actually I asked if reason to celebrate wouldn't be regression. The reply was about the caelyx/ carbo that it seems are "slow burn".Anyway you might be absolutely right.

All the very best.warm regards
