New here do you take Metformin and had no side effects?
I’m sensitive to medications but am considering taking Metformin... and was wondering how many have had a good experience with this medication? I’m type 2.

Is anyone else in a similar situation?
I am a 28 year old female and I reside in the US. I have been diagnosed as having stage 3 ckd as my creatinine levels are now up to 1.6 pushing my gfr to 45. Ultrasound was clear other than a small, simple cyst that was first found on a CT over a year ago and it hasn't changed in size. My 24 hour urine

STAMPEDE TRIAL K ARM METFORMIN PARTICIPANTS
The K Arm of the STAMPEDE TRIAL is looking at the effect on PSA, if any, of adding Metformin to ADT in non-diabetic PC men. I have seen a few posts on here from people who are taking part in that trial where the PSA seems to be coming / staying down, but I was wondering if there are a number of participants

Hallo, I am in constant AF and am on a great number of meds to help control it; these include: apixoban, digoxin, atorvastatin, ramipril, verapimil, metformin (diabetes) and levothyroxine (underactive thyroid). I am 76 years old next month and, based on hearsay and advice, decided against cardioversion

Testosterone level too high
I had my testosterone level checked. It currently is 12.3 ng/ml or 42.65 nmol/L or 1230 ng/dL. So its way too high. I am asymptomatic. Currently I am on hormone therapy with 50mg Bicalutamide per day and 20 mg Tamoxifen. Plus 850 mg Metformin. Any suggestions what is causing this testosterone level

Need some specific information
Has anyone developed a list of medications and supplements and specifically why we take these things. I read a lot of long explanations and studies but not one or two sentences with a backup study to support the statement (S). I take Metformin a long with many other drugs and supplements. Can't tell

Overmedicated/undermedicated?!
Hi, sorry for the long waffley post- I will try to keep it succinct. I was started on 50mg thyroxine last October. My t4 was within range but right down the bottom, and was symptomatic. In December it was increased to 75mg after fasting bloods (it was around 17, ref range 12-22). Last week went to see

Hi! New to this Community
Hi Everyone! I have just joined this Community and am also in the Liver Community. I have had Type 2 Diaberes for at least 20 years - haven’t anything more than a feeling as to when first diagnosed. As usual, I suppose ?, it was controlled by diet moving on to Metformin. When I had my liver transplant

Possible Metformin side effects
I have PMR and been on Prednisolone for almost 5 years, currently reducing to 2mg. I was diagnosed with Tyoe 2 Diabetes and started in Metformin about 3 months ago. I have been feeling unwell lately, as well as dizzy and unsteady. Now I have abdominal pain, bloating, wind and a nasty episode of diarrhoea

T3 and insulin resistance?
I have been diagnosed with insulin resistance (fasting blood glucose and insulin levels in range but close to upper normal limit). Symptoms are difficulty losing weight (I'm overweight), cravings and increased appetite. My doctor suggested Metformin, but I preferred to try a supplement instead and opted

2 weeks post loading doses update
Hi all, I wanted to write an update. There are a lot of horror stories online but I wanted to share some positives. Something to note is that although I am slightly anemic, my B12 deficiency was caused by long term metformin use. My symptoms were intense and mostly neurological, wide spread numbness

Do I have a fungal infection?
For about a month on and off my two big toes have been extremely itchy. If I keep scratching long enough I get this two dots that start to bleed. I also have developed a red/dry skin patch on my leg. I am type 2 diabetic and take metformin for it.

Late period is it Metformin? Should I stop?
Hello I normally have regular periods every 26 days and i started taking metformin exactly 7th December 2018 ( a month ago). I took my first pill on cycle 2 of my period. I had a scan last week to confirm I have PCOS on my left ovary and i had a small fibroid bit it's so small not to worry about it.

One step forwards, two steps back!
Had my rheumy appointment on Monday. Should have had it in October but it was moved. Got down to 5mg of Pred for about 4 months over the summer but beginning of October my hands started hurting, then wrists now shoulders and neck. Put myself up to 7 mg then 8 mg now 9mg. Still waking with stiffness but
