Dapagliflozin
A few people have asked about Dapagliflozin. I found this long but very enlightening article that has reassured me quite a lot. https://utswmed.org/medblog/sglt2-inhibitors-heart-failure-diabetes/

Low AMH and Metformin (insulin resistance)
Hi all I know Metformin is often used in fertility for people who have PCOS, therefore with a high ovarian reserve. I have had an insulin resistance test recently which showed elevated levels, it has been suggested I take Metformin for it. I have low AMH though and am a little worried about whether

Dapagliflozin - fatigue and a “winded feeling”
Hi all, I’ve recently started taking dapagliflozin again after experiencing some chest pain and a recommendation from the hospital to stop at the time. I contacted my cardiologist and he advised me to restart it but to try starting the ivabradine first and reintroduce the dapagliflozin 2 weeks later

Prediabetic and trying to find the right foods to eat
Hi, I'm a prediabetic and I'm still learning what is ok and not ok to eat. My doctor had me on metformin but I stopped taking it 3 days ago. The last two days that I did take it I became really weak and almost passed out. So that's why I had stopped taking it. I'm hoping to get some helpful tips on

hello, I’m 29 and have been diagnosed with PCO / possible PCOS. I do not have regular periods, 2/3 a year. I have a thin lining and low progesterone. I’ve done numerous bloods and looks like I am not ovulating on my own. I’m currently taking metformin but starting at only 1/2 a tablet a day as I really

Slight decline in ejection % from echo. They wish me to start on Dapagliflozin 10mg. Does anyone have experience with this med? Any good?
Dreaded results back in of a slight decline in ejection % from last scan in 2021. The note states its minor change. But they do wish to add SGLT2i Dapagliflozin 10mg. Has anyone tried this medicine? Have you been on it long and seen any improvements? Is it to replace any of the meds below? I currently

I've been on Jardiance for about 2 weeks now. My fasting blood sugars have gone up about 30 points since. I am also taking 5mg of glipizide. I've always had good control of my diabetes, A1C has always been around 6, give or take a couple either way. I had been on Metformin prior to this. I had labs

Is anyone else taking this drug for heart failure ? I have ‘severe’ heart failure and already take Ramipril and Carvedilol and have now had this diabetes drug added to the mixture. If it works it is said to be very effective in improving things. I would love to have your opinions. Also do you have

Do l have Peripheral Neuropathy?
I am a diabetic, last 10 years on Metformin 500 mg twice daily with Glimipride 2mg. Now having hot sensations, tingling in the legs, some times fingers, and wondering if its neuropathy due to B12 deficiency? Surprising none of the expert docs told me check out blood B12 levels! Realised need after reading

Pcos with regular but very light periods?
Hi all, I have lean pcos and was diagnosed via ultrasound after coming off the pill a year ago and not having a period. I had elevated testosterone levels on a blood test but everything else was fine (I have no unwanted hair growth). I started very lightly spotting a month ago and to the day I'm now

Questions about Montelukast and Metformin
I tried to find the answers by searching meds that aggrevate RLS but couldn't find an answer. Do the above cause any RL problems? I am trying to be so careful about anything, over the counter or prescription, that I take now. I will have a full blood panel (ferritin) checked for first time on Monday

Dietary intake 1 mcg b12 /day for a year (swapped out soy milk for another version and it wasn't fortified
