A few people have asked about Dapagliflozin. I found this long but very enlightening article that has reassured me quite a lot.

Dapagliflozin
Hello BB99...I was put on Dapagliflozin last year for LVSD with reduced EF. I found this article so interesting...thank you so much for sharing. Best wishes to you...
Hi BB99
I just wanted to thank you for an interesting read; I recently posted about dapagliflozin myself.
I particularly enjoyed the reference to Bob Ross - my partner used to watch his videos on YouTube to fall asleep to when we first got together as he found Bob’s voice so relaxing. This article took me back 7 years as well as imparting knowledge 😁
I too liked the mention of Bob Ross. My old mum was a keen amateur painter and often watched Bob's TV programmes. Although writing about a scientific trial, I was struck by the author's humanity and use of language easily understood by lay people. He certainly added to my understanding of my treatment and did away with some of my anxiety.
I agree, I found it quite a pleasant read especially compared with the difficulty I have had getting through some medical study articles - like wading through treacle sometimes and that’s without the medical jargon on top! 😂 This article has certainly alleviated some of my anxiety around taking dapagliflozin too.
Bless your dear mum, sounds like she made a great choice for inspiration and a teacher. I used to love his technique for cleaning his brushes too, the sound was fab! I think I may have to watch one of his videos this weekend and share the joy with my children.
Great link thank you always nice to have bit of (inside information) which helps a greater understanding
I have been taking Dapagliflozin for just over 1 year on the advice of my Cardiologist, this is on top of the usual cocktail of drugs following my HA in 2010. I can honestly say that I have been feeling the best I ever have ever since my HA nearly 13 years ago, I have not had to use my GTN spray in the last year and the post meal angina I used to get has disappeared. Unfortunately I have lung problems owing to flour dust an my 50 years in the bakery trade, but the usual inhalers help with that. The only drawback of dapagliflozin has been a couple of bouts of urinary thrush which have been sorted with Canestan or equivalent. It has changed my health for the better, just old age(71) to deal with now.
Urinary thrush.... me too!!
