Something Seems Off With my Smartwatch Heart rate Readings
I was given an IPhone Smart Watch for Christmas, but just started using it, the past couple of months. My question is with the accuracy of the heart rate readings. I usually wait at least 1 & 1/2 hours, after taking my Cartia, before I start a brisk 35-60 min. walk. Sometimes, my heart rate will register

Shoulder inflammation and pain over a month
Hi all Wondering if shoulder inflammation and pain for over a month in both shoulders is normal with psoriatic arthritis or if I should be contacting my RA or something. Haven’t had this before, been on RA meds since 2016 and on Cimzia a biologic for a couple years. Advice appreciated!

Cimzia Side Effects Immediately After Injection
Hello everyone, I was diagnosed with psoriatic arthritis a little over a year ago and I am scheduled to start Cimzia injections at the end of the month. I have heard stories of other biologics causing pain at the injection site and/or fatigue on the day after the injection. For example, many people

Sharp pain in one finger and node appearing; also jaw pain like TMJ-- what to do?
Hi all, just joined the group. I've been on RA meds since 2018, take Cimzia, methotrexate, sulfa, but in the last few days developed a sharp pain in one finger on my left hand, as well as a node on that finger. Also been experiencing jaw pain that seems like TMJ. I have an appointment with my RA doc

Hi lovely community, Waiting on an answer from my rheumatology team but thought I would also ask here... I'm just back from a hike (abroad) where I left my meds in a fridge. While I was away they were moved into another fridge and the temperature raised to 14°c (should be at 8°c max) Can I not

Living with Crohn's over 30 years
I was diagnosed with Crohn's in 1985. I was about 16 years old and I had never heard of it before. Admitted to the hospital I was bleeding internally, had lost 30 pounds and was down to 104. I was not allowed to have food or water, Only through IV. This was a 3 month hospital stay. After I was sent

Travelling with Refrigerated Medication
Hello, I was wondering if anyone had travelled around with Cimzia or another medication that needs to be kept refrigerated? I am travelling for 2 months which will include planes and overnight buses - so I need to keep 3 cimzia pens cool while in transit which could be for over 12 hours at a time. Once

Tested positive for COVID now on antiviral.
Being on Cimzia I've had 5 vaccinations. On Saturday evening however I started to feel unwell, bit of tickle in my throat and a cough. Didn't feel too good overnight and breathing was a bit more of an effort than normal, so wasn't surprised when the LFD was positive. Phoned the NHS Grampian Covid number

Why not just stay on prednisone instead of taking a biologic
Well, my doctor is back to saying I most likely do have PMR. I have had flairs which prednisone has handled. Now he wants to put me on Cimzia to try and get me off the prednisone. In what I have read, 10 mg of prednisone is not considered a high dose. When you look at the side affects of the other drugs

Hi all looking for advice please. I have got Rheumatoid Arthritis and been on methotrexate and Cimzia injection for 6 years and been good until November when I came out in a rash. I was first diagnosed with eczema and then a fungal skin infection. I have been prescribed 3 different cream’s, 2 steroid

Anyone have experiences with Cimzia (certolizumab pegol)?
I have to start this biologic soon and I'm terrified, having had dire reactions to hydroxychloroquine and methotrexate. Stories of first-hand use would be very welcome indeed!

Steroid Injection RA?
Hi, Ive been diagnosed with RA since I was 22, I'm now 28 and am currently on Cimzia. I've been having a flare for quite a while so ended up having a steroid injection IM into the bottom last Thursday (I haven't had one in around a year) but am still struggling with the pain. I was wondering if anyone

3rd Covid vaccination and timing of Cimzia injection
I thought this might be of interest to other members on Biologics. Just had an appointment made for my 3rd Covid vaccination. I contacted my Rheumatology team for advice regarding the timing of my Cimzia injections. The Covid vaccination is due a Thursday, my Cimzia injections are on the Thursdays either
