Fungal Infection with RA

Hi all looking for advice please. I have got Rheumatoid Arthritis and been on methotrexate and Cimzia injection for 6 years and been good until November when I came out in a rash. I was first diagnosed with eczema and then a fungal skin infection. I have been prescribed 3 different cream’s, 2 steroid and one with no steroid. The first steroid seemed to clear the rash but came back after stopping using the cream in advice from doctor to not use it after 2 weeks. I was then given the non steroid cream which did nothing and rash spread further. I am now on the 2nd steroid cream. The doctor said everyone has bacteria in the body and on the skin which the immune system sorts out. With an immune suppressed system it doesn’t always work. I would appreciate any advice on this.

Regards Carol

Were they dermatologists or at least was one of them a dermatologist?

No doctors I think I may have to go private for a dermatologist as I don’t seem to be getting anywhere.
