Winter Down Turn
I experienced a slowing of healing during the winter months. The reasons are not definitively knowable. This seems to be on the wane. Factors are less light, less sun energy, lower outside ambivalent temperature and only 16 weeks of not under supplementing. It is also a factor I have learned to expect

Anyone noticed growth restriction with Ritalin?
HI folks, my 9 year old has finally - thankfully - been diagnosed with ADHD and needs medication for sure BUT he's already skinny and midrange height for his age. So I'm worried about starting him on Ritalin (what's available in this country). Has anyonehad a child on Ritalin for a year/few years and

low levels of T4 & T3 on 3 grains of NDT
Dear all, Again I need some help with my blood tests interpretation and further steps. Iโm currently on 3 grains of thyroid-s and my results are as shown on the table below. Both FT3 & FT4 levels are not satisfactory. Could this be because of the low levels of ferritin, D3 and B12? Or do I need to

Changing from Levo to NDT - dosing advice needed
Hello everyone, I'm looking for advice on dosing - switching from levothyroxine 75mcg to NDT (most probably ERFA or Thyroid S) but I've been advised by pennyannie that ERFA might be best as I have hashimotos. So what should I aim to be on with NDT? My vitamin levels are good as I supplement with Vit

Is it worth doing pernicious anemia test with active B12 of 68?
I'm working on getting my levels of B12, folate, ferritin and D up to ideal levels, if I can, for my thyroid. I recently got a B12 result from monitor my health of 68 pmol/L (range 38-210). I have read that you can still have B12 deficiency even if your B12 is around my level (I heard over 70 is needed

Silent Reflux and B12 Deficiency- Any Link?
Hello! I was diagnosed with low B12 following a blood test in December last year, on injections but only had 3 of the 6 loading doses then was moved on to one every three months due to severe side effects that worried my GP. Had my first of the 3 monthly ones a few weeks ago and all went well. I saw

Vitamins D and K7
I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism nine months ago, and prescribed 50mcg levothyroxine per day. No mention was made of Vitamin D results or any related issues like ferritin,or B12. I take Vitamin D 2200iu throughout Winter, and, as of October 23, after some online research, added Vitamin K2, 100 ug.

CFS clinic
Hello ๐ At last GP appt I was told that my symptoms couldn't be thyroid related and have been referred to CFS clinic. I'm not yet out of range TSH wise. I haven't tested privately recently as I've just increased all recommended vitamins so will give those chance to work before a new test. Just wondering

Should I be asking for an increase in Levo?
I have an appt with my endo on Thursday to discuss my latest results and those from last August and April when I was taking different amounts of levo. I always follow the suggested procedure of stopping Vit B complex a week before, early blood test and not taking levo for 24 hours. My most recent
