I’m using a 25 gauge 1 inch needle for my b12 injections. Where do you all buy your syringes?

In Canada, you can buy them at any drugstore. They will also provide a sharps box for free.

I order mine off Amazon in the U.S.

I get mine used off the streets of Los Angeles... They are plentiful and very inexpensive! Just teaz'n 😜

I get my B12 injections 2000 mcg methyl already preloaded in syringes, ready to go, from a compounding pharmacy. It costs a bit more but is so much more convenient. But I use a 1/2 inch for SC. I know you can get 1/2 inch from Amazon but I've not looked for 1 inch.

Best wishes, Rexz

25 G x 1 inch is most commonly used for an B12 Inter Muscular injection . 30 G x 1/2 inch is used for a sub-cutaneous injection . Very fine needle , but as a B12 injection is a water based , it will pass through such a fine needle easily .

Yes, I've never done IM. Only SC and seems to work fine. I only wish I could use a 0/0 inch needle! 😆

Interesting wedgewood. That may be something I checkout. Thank you.I wonder how it works? Must be injecting subcutaneous through a shot of air pressure?

Have you tried this?

Thanks again Rexz

No , I’ve not tried it . But thought it might be useful for someone who is needle-phobic to know about . Quite expensive though. . But where one’s health is concerned , is bearable . Hope fully, with time it may become cheaper .

When I started this in January 2020 I had not seen a doctor in 35 years. I never got sick, not even a cold. I was terribly needle phobic. Now though I've been stuck so many times I cannot begin to count. Countless IVs and injections of one sort or another. So many that I've learned to quickly take my mind somewhere else as a nurse or doctor is sticking me. So that works very well. I still have trouble sticking myself though as it seems I'm not able to go "somewhere" else when I'm doing the sticking myself. The whole thing is irrational and silly I know but also so not natural to stab oneself even with a small SC needle. 😊

I hope that someone can let you know if those needle-less devices are satisfactory.

Regev Elya on the site perniciousanemia.org endorses them .( he sells the powdered methycobalamin from oxford biosciences at 3 times the price that you pay on that site !).

At the top of the page , click on “ go needle free” and you will get some information about the device . Best wishes .
