When to take iron
It seems, from what I have read, that iron has to be taken without food. But also not close to when I take other minerals such as calcium or magnesium, or certain medicines like my thyroid medicine. Is it OK then to take iron at the same time I take my RLS medicine, which at this time is still ropinerole

Shining a light on Protein Aggregation in Parkinson's Disease
Niacin, who knew?! Research shows that in the brain, niacin interacts with a highly-selective receptor, HCAR2, present in immune cells physically associated with amyloid plaques. When niacin activates the receptor, it stimulates beneficial actions from these immune cells. After the Alzheimer's disease

Lab results - no diagnosis yet...
Hi everyone. I wrote a post a couple of weeks ago about my husband going to the Nephrologist for the first time. At the consultation, his Nephrologist was pretty optimistic but also concerned with the microhematuria. We both know something is going on but it's becoming clear that getting a proper diagnosis

Diltiem vs bisoprolol
Hi. Does anyone take or has anyone heard of Diltiem as an alternative to bisoprolol? I think it’s a calcium channel blocker though I’m not sure what that means. I know someone who’s been on it for 10 years as he couldn’t tolerate bisoprolol, and I’d love to know if anyone here has any thoughts or experience

DXA Bone Density T score Lumbar spine from -4.0 to -3.6
Two years ago my DXA Bone Density T score lumbar spine was-4.0 today it's -3.6. I understand this is still osteoporosis but the results were a little better. For the past two years I have been taking Marine collagen, vitamin D, calcium, and magnesium. I also started Pilates on 11/2021 and I go 4-5

Esophagus problems
Hello from Florida, U.S. I have had this condition for years. Also hospitalized with what they thought was heart attack. My problem comes from eating anything dry and swallowing big pills like calcium. Millions of tests by gastroenterologist. One of my problems I have been told is from swallowing

Early 40s and been diagnosed with very early stage atherosclerosis
This was during a scan because of post-Covid issues. It seems I have a calcium score of a little over 3, which is tiny in itself but puts me on a percentile to have much more severe blockages by my mid-50s, and from everything I've read there's no real way of avoiding this (although I can slightly improve
