The radiograph shows calcium deposits in the joint capsule. The other radiograph is the podiatrist's own ankle for comparison.
The podiatrist says the spike of bone pushing on the Achilles from beneath is the cause of the ankle pain. But surgery removed the spike and the PRP so far hasn't helped. A closer look at the radiograph shows calcium deposits in the joint capsule. Nothing to do with PD, likely it's plain old arthritis

Alendronic Acid
Had a fall at the weekend resulting in a broken wrist. It is an uncomplicated fracture but I have a feeling that the Rhumatologist will try to put me on Alendronic Acid and this is something I really dont want. My first reaction would be to ask for a Dexa Scan to see if its really neccessary and if

L-thyroxine Malabsorption Due to Calcium Carbonate Impairs Blood Pressure, Total Cholesterolemia, and Fasting Glycemia
Just in case anyone thinks that advice to separate calcium (and iron) from levothyroxine is a figment of our imaginations, have a look at this paper. Not only does the paper make a point about separating taking of calcium and levothyroxine, by a long time, but they emphasise that doctors, including

Side effects Sertaline
Hi, I have been prescribed Sertaline for GAD. It's not terrible but bad enough that I have been off work. I've been on it for 2.5weeks now and I don't feel much difference (although I am not feeling particularly low). However I have a loss of libedo. My sex drive is part of my identity and I enjoy having

No medication seems to be working to ease some of the pain
Me again. No medication seems to be working. I'm currently on 3 gabapentin, Naproxen, 2 Omeprazoles (stomach was slightly damaged in early may as I wasn't aware that you had to have a stomach lining tablet with naproxen... Dr didn't give any Omeprazole with the naproxen so was advised to take 2 of them

Vitamin D and Covid-19 Perhaps this information has not been previously posted
https://borsche.de/res/Vitamin_D_Essentials_EN.pdf It does mention, when taking a vitamin D supplement, that you must take 200mcg of vitamin K2 to prevent a build up of calcium in the blood which could cause arthritis. If possible, getting a blood test to determine your D levels is likely a good idea

Rapid Test Complete (urine test Strips)??
Sorry it's been so long since I have posted. I asked a question the last time and didn't do anything about it as my doctor said I was fine, but as time goes on you start to question these doctors and question medications, and question some kidney pain and so on... So I decided to buy some of those Rapide

Help with latest results please
I’d appreciate the advice of forum members as to where to go next with dosing. I’ve spent the last two years improving my vitamin levels thanks to this forum. It’s made a huge difference! Thank you so much to everyone who has helped me so much. I am moving from T3 only to T4 and T3. These are my latest

Can you swing from Hypo to Hyper and when you do, can continuing with Thyroid meds actually make your symptoms worse?
Hi All Any ideas gratefully received on why my main symptom of muscle aches, especially of the vastus medialis, (I am a keen cyclist) have become worse, despite my thyroid numbers improving on the usual thyroid meds? I was diagnosed Hypo in May last year by these Medichecks results from 26/4/19 TSH
