is it being recommended by rheumatolgoist as I see a lot of people are taking it and I gather from the post that it is to help stomach issues and calcium, but not really sure....
K2 vitamin: is it being recommended by... - PMRGCAuk
K2 vitamin
It is unlikely to be mentioned/recommended by rheumatologists - there seem to be few doctors who are aware of the difference between vit K1 and K2.
I thikn this summarises the current status well:

I suppose it is like most of the nutritional/dietary claims - it will take a long time to get enough reliable evidence to convince the mainstream. In the meantime, using it probably won't do any harm UNLESS you are on medication for clotting problems and then you need to be careful about supplements and discuss it with your doctor. Who probably won't know...
As I also have primary hyperparathyroidism, where calcium is taken from my bones and deposited wherever in my body, I have been advised to take K2, vit D and magnesium by a well-informed Facebook support group. Will get my husband to start taking it now.
There is well informed and well informed - where do they take their information from? There is a lot of very ill-informed advice on supplements to be found on the internet. Much of it sounds very credible.
