Caelyx

I start my 3rd line of chemo next Fri 26th Sept which will be Caelyx. I am a very positive person but sometimes it is hard to stay focused and I am struggling at the moment coming to terms with another round of chemo. Any words of wisdom would be appreciated. Many thanks Sue xx

2nd line caelyx stopped and the mention of single paxi or tamoxifen when symtoms come and radiotherapy for pelvic bone! Would feel better doing something!! Off on holiday Monday so hope to be chilled out!!

Previous ONC suggested Caelyx so I pushed for it. Has anyone else had Caelyx for First Line or have any comments would be appreciated, many thanks have a great Weekend all x.

I will probably be on Caelyx next or Myocet. Please can you tell me what which one you,ve had if appropriate. Lovis

I am doing caelyx and carboplatin. My hair has started thinning but I still have a pretty good coverage. It seems this second go round is harder somehow. Good luck everyone.

Veronique, my hair has grown back while on Caelyx. Yes I have had a couple of mouth ulcers, but nothing that makes life unbearable. Sore feet - blisters - were also bearable although uncomfortable. Regular washing and creaming helped. Good luck

Hi everyone, so after x4 months of Caelyx hoping to shrink the cancer it has done nothing. So since it hasn't got bigger and hasn't shrinked in size I'm Now just having more cat scans. What worriesme is that my ca125 marker went up to 30 and it's never been that high ever it's only ever been 17.

If anyone has experience of Caelyx side effects, I would be grateful to hear from you. Veronique, UK

Anyone feel discomfort swallowing who is being treated with caelyx? Just wonder if its my acid reflux playing up or a side effect! Thanks Carole

I am worried as my onc told me caelyx has a 20% chance of working but didnt mention a plan B.

After 3 lots of carboplatin have had my second lot of caelyx 2 days ago and my hair is noticably coming away now. Just wonder if this is normal and if it keeps getting worse or suddenly falls out completely. Not had noticable hair loss before just thinning. Any advice on when to get a wig, hat.

Grade iii ovarian cancer since sept 2012, after surgery and chemo this time last year I had 6 months cancer free but it raised it's ugly head again!

Hi guys, if anyone out there has had caelyx, or is on it, experienced mouth ulcers? And the horrible taste that comes with it? I'm just getting over it but have another treatment this week. I have x 4 to go after this one. Any help would be great tks. Tess.

, ECX, Trabectedin, Caelyx, Abraxane and now just Carboplatin. She cannot take any oral medication so everything has to be IV. Her Consultant has advised against Avastin due to possible bowel perforations which could be fatal. Nothing really seems to be helping.

(first lot didn't work) :( im now going to be having caelyx. I was told I might lose my hair or get thinner. which I don't want. my last chemo I didn't lose my hair but feel it got thinner. any advice on how i might feel?? thanks.

I have been offered a place on a trial at Christie's using trabectedine with caelyx or standard 3rd line treatment of gemcitabine/carbo. Anyone have any thoughts ?
