Has anyone had taxol and carboplatin for 2x6 cy... - My Ovacome
Has anyone had taxol and carboplatin for 2x6 cycles (over 2 yrs) followed by Caelyx for 6 cycles? If all these fail, what else is there?
I had 6x carboplatin then 6x paxi taxol with carboplatin short remission now on caelyx x6 started on Friday so far so good, very tired but there are others to try so don't despair.Take care and be positive.

I've had 2 x 6 cycles of Carb/Taxol and I x 6 cycles of Carbo/Caelyx...so far ..

I've had 1X6 Cycles of Taxol/Carbo and 1X6 Cycles of Carbo/Gem/Avastin and have been on Avastin solely every 3 weeks since September. I was diagnosed in Sept 2011. Keep Strong there are plenty of options out there. xxx Trish
Ive had taxol and carbo together last year and recently caelyx and carbo which seems to be working better re getting rid of thebcancer The others are right there are lots of options out there . Yes i agree caelyx combo is a bit of a so and so re side effects -i got very tired compared to being on taxol but have been off it for 2 months and i found my energy has come back and i am feeling more human so keep smiling ! Xxx
I had 8x carbo /taxol then only 4 months off then carbo/gemcitabinx8 then Myocet (similar to Caelyx which was out of production when I needed it so tried Myocet) and Avastin x8 then Avastin alone for 7 months then Weekly taxol for 9 months!!! Just had pet scan which has shown progression so my oncologist is going to try carbo again with maybe Myocet and then he says he may try Topapecan (spelling? Sorry)
Can anyone beat that?
There is lots to try so don't give up.

I have had taxol and gem in my first treatment for 3 months and for me it did nothing, ( it didn't shrink my cancer) so now I'm on
Caelyx, had x1 treatment, have 5 to go, I'm hoping it will work. If not they will be giving me radiation therapy. Hope all goes well for you. Take care.
