That was a bit silly
I set my alarm for 7am this morning so I could run before it got too hot, after a night of the cat periodically poking at me and meowing and waking me up, I turned the alarm off and went back to sleep .So at 10.06am I was finally ready to go out. 6.4k or 4 mile's to do, I head towards the seafront and

Iron blood test results are back, please could you take a look for me?
In a previous post I gave my Ferritin result from a blood test in March (this was 36.90) and I was recommended to check my other iron levels before taking iron supplements . I now have these results back and would be really grateful if you could let me know your thoughts please : Medichecks BLOOD TEST

Living With A-Fib Questions
Hi All, I was diagnosed with A-Fib only a few weeks ago so everything is still very new and a bit bewildering. I think I was first aware that something wasn't right around 3 months ago when I noticed I got much more out of breath walking up a hill then I would normally be. A couple of days later I noticed

Newly diagnosed metastatic PC treatment options
Hi, I'm 68 years old. Here are the key points in my story so far: In July 2023 a blood test showed a PSA value of 45. On September 26 2023, prostate MRI showed a dominant tumor in the prostate with extension into the right seminal vesicle. Also the fat plane between the rectum and prostate is lost

recent blood test
Hello everyone I would appreciate your thoughts on my recent blood tests. I had been advised by my endo (private) to stop taking T3 and go back to 125g Thyroxine. ( he didn’t think I was benefiting from the T3) I didn’t feel that this info was correct for me so have been taking 100g + 10g litho

My 3 Arrows Heme Iron has finally arrived! How do I dose it?
It seemed to take a long time to arrive. But it's finally here. At my last blood test my iron was low, not deficient and not low enough for a doctor to comment. But lower than I want and I struggle to keep Ferritin half decent. I've never had good Ferritin. So how do you take your 3 Arrows Heme

Hypo Dr lowered dose!
Hi everyone, My Dr. lowered my prescription from 150mcg to 125mcg on the basis of a TSH result of 0.01. Test done as advised on here. No T4 or T3 was done. No discussion about symptoms . In fact it was done without any discussion. I’ve had to wait a month to have an appointment with my Dr. Was not

Timings of 'supra physiologic' B12 doses . . . thru' day ( - for those who can absorb them !).
Taking several divided doses can assist more to be absorbed, & allow blood levels to vary/fluctuate less than taking the same amounts as fewer, larger doses - this makes sense, as a general principle. However, some consideration of the timing of doses, relative to meal times in particular, may well

B-vitamins without B12?
Hi all, asking here as I haven't been able to find any through my own searches.. Does anyone know of a B complex that does not contain B12? My b12 is over range but I would still like to take the rest of the Bs to keep them balanced. Someone suggested I look for one that didn't contain b12 or maybe unmethlyated

high cholesterol
Hi. My daughter, 43, has cholesterol level of 10.3. Her GP is utterly unconcerned. She is tested for hypthyroidism (as this is prevalent in the family) and other things, but she tells me all other tests are normal. Why isn't her doctor bothered about this cholesterol level. Mine is five point something

T3 Dosage
Hi everyone My GP referred me to endocrinology. They called me a few weeks ago & suggested I lower my dose of T3 , I take 75mcg of cytomel. I was advised to take 50mcg. I asked the reason why. He said it was because t3 has long term effects of osteoporosis. I feel like 75mcg is the perfect dose

T3 Dose Help
I'm due to see an endocrinologist privately tomorrow for the first time. I've been on levo for 13 years after a TT for ThyCa. I've never taken T3 so I'll be asking to try it since I've felt rubbish for 13 years! So my question is what kind of dose of T3 would I expect to take initially? I'm on 150mg
