Have I Really Got Heart Insufficiency?
I detest the the Heart Failure as it does not truly describe the condition and needs changing but I doubt the professionals can be bothered. As many of you will know I have serious issues my right foot/lower leg (in fact my only foot). Spending most of my time in a wheelchair I tend to develop a fair

Stents AFTER Bypass Surgery and fully occluded LAD.
My diaphragm is damaged/paralysed from the
bypass
surgery
meaning I only have half a lung working on the left side. If my heart improves I can have surgery to fix it apparently. My faith is God is holding me tight.

Blood results
Hi all, Following on from the very useful help and advice I received on my previous posts, I have some blood results back and am hoping for some advice this time. My B12 came back in the normal range but low and my ferritin came back only just scraping into the normal range (results attached).

This showed two blocked arteries, one very bad, the other really critical and said I should not fly and the result was 2

. Luckily my travel insurance covered this, but by no means straightforward. I had the surgery on 22nd December.

Dissected Aorta Type A
Hello, my father is a 78 year old man who has recently been diagnosed with a dissected aorta type A. He had quadruple heart bypass 11 years ago. In October 2023 he stopped taking his Furosemide- a stupid thing to do as it started off a rollercoaster of health problems, now resulting in this diagnosis

Between a Rock and a Hardplace!
I had
Bypass
surgery
late September 2022. This was purely precautionary following my diagnosis of a severe stenosis approximately where the LAD joins the top of the heart. Other than Angina during exercise/slight oddness in my left hand/arm I had no other symptoms.

Yearly blood test
I take it many of you have reached the time when you are having your yearly blood test after heart bypass. I just wondered how conclusive and accurate you have found the results.

How do I know if I'm fixed? Calling all runners!
Hi, I'm a 59 year old male who's been running (Half and full Marathon) for about 12 years (previously a regular swimmer and cyclist). I've always been fit and lived what I thought was a healthy lifestyle, never smoked, little alcohol, avoided fast foods, minimal red meat, mostly chicken and fish. I

Panic attacks and high anxiety 2 years after heart attack and quad heart bypass
So just over 2 years ago my dad suffered a heart attack followed by quad
bypass
surgery
. Coming out his road to recovery started and he made some big changes. He’s of a decent weight with a good diet but packed in cigarettes and less trips to the local.

what next heart rate high again and I am now symptomatic
I had heart bypass 2013 and pacemaker 2015 due to af and low hr. Then 3 years ago I started taking digoxin to lower high heart rates and it seemed to work. I have just been to Spain on holiday and ended up hospitalised 2 days due to chest pain and breathless all tests revealed no heart attack, echocardiogram

The state of NASH & Liver Cirrhosis for me in 2023
I did my best to lose as much weight as possible as quickly as possible; I had seen the ravages of diabetes on my mom who had been diabetic for years and had just recently undergone quadruple
bypass
surgery
and was NOT doing well.

After Effects from a Triple Heart Bypass
Back in September 2022 I had a cardiac arrest and was very lucky to have had a paramedic nearby with some 14 years experience. This lady performed cpr on me and called for a defibrillator. I received one shock and regained consciousness after which I was taken to hospital and on 2nd November 2022 I
