Hi all, had a call yesterday from talking therapies, yesterday I will hav to wait another 2/3 weeks to get started with a therapist, waited a long time but just goes to show the demand in London, I’m still suffering anxiety but I am getting a little brighter week by week, I have seen articles from all over the world regarding heart bypass surgery and depression/anxiety just curious why is it so bad for this operation, 11 weeks post bypass this time has flown, everything else seem ok just this bloody anxiety keep telling my self I’m not the only one for all kind of reasons,

There has always been a big demand and long waiting lists for Counselling etc and then with the word that cannot be mentioned as it affected so many that sent the waiting up more and then with the NHS that has sent it up even more so to be honest this is great news and from what I see this is a quick wait to get the therapy and I really hope it helps and you will let us know
It is true lot's do get depression and anxiety after this op I already as you know have anxiety but now it is through the roof the only thing I can think of why it affects some of us is that it is such a big life changing event we go through
It will be Spring soon and you will be able to get out more and I think with the talking therapy and Spring on it's way you will get rid of this anxiety
I completely agree with you about the arrival of Spring BeKind, it's such a wonderful, healing time. My sister has suffered from proper Seasonal Affective Disorder for donkey's years and you can quite literally see her go down into herself (for want of a better explanation) when the darker nights start to arrive. Once the little shoots and buds start to appear, and the nights start to become lighter, you can almost see her blossom again! I always hunt around at this time of year to find the first of those little bunches of daffies that appear in the shops. Her eyes sparkle when she sees them waiting for her when she visits on a Sunday for lunch. Carol x
I can relate to your Sister and how she feels with me been agoraphobic and the dark nights I get so down and struggle more it really is depressing and I thought it was lovely when you said when the Spring is here and you take her flowers how her eyes light up
I like my garden and have some tulips etc starting to come up and I get so much pleasure looking each day how much more they are starting to grow
XoX 😃Those little bunches of about 15 or 20 closed-bud daffies only cost about £1 in M&S and Tesco but I really don't care what they'd cost as seeing the pleasure in her eyes is priceless. They're a little sign of hope for her and I just couldn't wait until they appeared in the shops again recently. Especially more poignant this year as she was diagnosed with breast cancer in October. She's just finished her 5th (of 9) rounds of chemo and managing very well so far. She's having chemo to shrink the tumour and will then have an op to remove it. xox
O bless her I am so sorry to hear what she is going through but at the same time happy that things seem to be going well and she has nearly finished her treatment and then get the op out the way and she will be as good as new
I can imagine that with dealing with this as well that this year might and will be affecting her even more
I totally agree no matter how much they cost just seeing her eyes light up is well worth it
