Bisphosphonates
I had 1 Prolia shot in Feb with many side effects. I’m going to see a Rheumatologist to Relay me off. I can’t take any Bisphosphonates because I had Gastric Bypass. I don’t know what to do. Is there anyone out there that been on Prolia and can’t take a Bisphosphonate? I would love to hear what you took

Hi everyone My hubby had a double bypass 6 weeks ago. He did very well initially, but it's 6 weeks now and he feels he's gone backwards. Still in pain with his chest, but now feeling more weak in his arms. Getting in and out of his chair is painful. He feels very unfit - top of the stairs and

Suppression of TSH but low T4/T3 levels whilst taking Levo/Lio Combo
A few years ago, my thyroid results were looking a lot better but NHS GP over the last 2 years has told me to reduce my dosage twice (because of the 'risks' of overtreatment). I'm now on 100mcg levothyroxine (75mcg supplied by GP and topped up by myself) and 25mcg liothyronine (self-sourced). I now don't

Partners of patients how do you cope? I’m falling apart
My husband 62 yo is awaiting quad
bypass
surgery
at the BHI currently. Long story short, scans show he had a massive heart attack at some point and didn’t notice and it’s really damaged his heart. The
bypass
team are reluctant to do
surgery
as it’s risky.

heart bypass graph
I’m still on the virtual ward. It’s been 3 weeks now. I’m waiting for a bypass graph. Has anybody been on a virtual ward and how long where you on it . I still got no news of my bypass graph. I’m just wondering how long people have had to wait for theirs. I’ve got a 99 per cent blockage in my left artery

Any advice, post angiogram
My question is from the latest angiogram done January 2024 drs have said there is no
surgery
options for him, ie
bypass
, stents. He has been prescribed a new medication for a blood thinner and they hope that collateral circulation will work.

Blood test after x-ray
Despite having a lingering cough, my mum has had no other systems but decided to see the doctor. They suggested she have an x-ray. Anyway, they've asked her to have a blood test regarding her heart. Her cough seems to be getting better and she doesn't feel tired, had any chest pains or any other

Depression ?
5 years now since
bypass
surgery
, and my depression (if that's what it is) is getting worse. Nothing ever phased me before CABG, but now... I find myself crying at something sad on tv. I find myself crying at something happy on tv !
