PET Scan results -total ischemic burden 4%
And then if the 4% is accurate he should have worked with me to plan my treatment be it
bypass
surgery
, stent or what is needed. I plan to call his office tomorrow and ask for an appointment to get answers and a plan. But I am concerned that he will take offense at my questioning.

I am currently in hospital as I had an angiogram but due to the extent of my heart disease I have been recommended for
bypass
surgery
(subject to satisfactory scans etc).

Hi. Please help me feel less anxious about my husband's upcoming bypass surgery
Hi everyone. My husband is currently in hospital..he has been in already for 4 weeks and its been confirmed today he needs a triple or quadruple bypass after having a silent heartattack that they don't know when it happened as he was taken in with what we were told was double pneumonia originally 😢

Smoking After Bypass
Definitely food for thought for some as a friend's husband resumed smoking two weeks after
bypass
surgery
and did not survive a year!

Jaw Pain A Week After Triple Bypass Surgery
I'm a 77 year old male who had triple
bypass
surgery
on 10/1/23. Surgery on 10/1/23 Sunday and send home Thursday. After a week after I started having jaw pain again. This pain always happened before my stents or before this bypass. When the jaw discomfort happens I also am short of breath.

CABG recovery
Can I ask anyone who has had
bypass
surgery
their experience of the level of pain when you come round ? I hear everything from virtually zero to the worst pain you can experience, some people saying that they wouldnt have gone through with the procedure had they known 😬.

Angina after bypass surgery.
I had
bypass
surgery
7 weeks ago. When I returned home I walked everyday as directed without any issues for the first 4 weeks. Last week I began to get what can only be described as a heavy dull ache in my left arm when I walked.

Low heart rate
My husband has always been low (normally about 52) but with all the heart meds they give you after
bypass
surgery
this is the result. He has spoken to his GP in the past but he always seems to be reluctant to change things.

Post CABG infection at leg wound site
My husband had Triple
bypass
surgery
on 1st Dec. Recovered really well and was looking great with minimal pain and getting stronger every day. Wounds had healed well although leg wound/scar where they took the saphenous vein was still a bit lumpy although closed, dry and healthy looking.

Very confused and scared
He was taking about needing
bypass
surgery
which at £25000 is out of my price range privately. He advised me to contact my gp to request angiogram. My nhs consultant is ringing Wednesday morning which was already arranged.

Gall bladder surgery
I had
bypass
surgery
back in 2017 and 2 stents fitted Oct 2021. This will be my first general anaesthetist since then and I have to say I'm very frightened, in fact part of me wants to cancel but I NEVER want to feel the pain I felt last year again.

Skin problems.
I have had very itchy rash for about 12 months and wondered whether this is caused by any of the heart medications I am taking following
bypass
surgery
two years ago. The rash seems to be getting worse and more widespread, covering large areas of my back, shoulders and chest.

Heart bypass update - I made it
Following on from my earlier post about my anxiety of having
bypass
surgery
(and the many fantastic replies, advice and stories) I am happy to say my quadruple bypass went ahead on Thursday and was a complete success.
