Unable to stents lad put balloon stents in, on dual platelet therapy while waiting to get on bypass surgery list. Wait is making me very anxious. Managed to keep up moderate excersise. But don't understand why they want to see how I go on, surely it will only get worse.

Waiting for bypass
Hello
Maybe they might be thinking this might work long term so observing how you get on while you are waiting but I know the anxiety with this waiting thing we all tend to find ourselves in at some stage but try and stay focused on the thought if they thought a Bypass was an emergency they would not be waiting to put you on a list they would have you in straight away
You are doing he right thing moderate exercise and this will help to keep you as fit as you can especially an advantage the fitter you are if they do a Bypass op the better
Maybe this question you have asked you could ask them when you next speak to them r even your Doctor hopefully the answer they give would reassure you
Let us know how you get on x
thankyou👍❤️

HelloHello whatwhat areare youyou havinghaving toto dealdeal withwith?
Hello
I had a triple Bypass 2 and a half years ago now but I already suffered with anxiety and since the operation my anxiety is now so much worse so the shock of having heart attacks first followed my the op has had a effect on me which I struggle such a lot
Thank you for asking x
ImsorrytI'm sorry tohear thatanxianxiety can bea very cripplingthing to deal withI hope you can findsome reliefby talkingabout it
Thank you for all.your wisom and kindness. You really helped me with my journey, had my triple cabg monday morning and am now recovering well, just trying to get lung function back. I was lucky and the surgeon was able to use mammart arteried from my chest so minimal scarring. So glad its over, the wait has been the worse, on a plus side have made many friends along the way x
Hello
This is fantastic news !!!!
I am so pleased for you
Keep doing your breathing exercises and your lungs will soon get stronger again
The wait is the worst I agree as it is not to bad once we have the op done
I hope you will keep letting us know how you get on and thank you so much for posting to tell us you have had it done and all has gone well x
still in limbo got telephone appointment with surgeon on Feb 9th, been promised my MRI scan before that date but still no letter even though promised on the list, this is at Blackpool cardiac centre ,condition hasn't really changed except for extreme tiredness come mid afternoon .really don't know what to make of it all 🤔
Hello
It is awful all this waiting I think it is the worst bit so I can understand how you feel
I know it might seem a long time to you the 9th of Feb but it will be here soon
If it was me up till then if I had had no letter I would be phoning once or twice a week asking and ponting out you are seeing the Surgeon on the 9th and should have had the MRI scan done !
Keep us updated x
Maxbar, try not to worry. Easier said than done!I was in a similar situation and on dual platelet therapy having had a stroke. I was unable to have stents fitted and had a triple bypass 5 weeks after the angiogram.
I imagine the surgeons/ consultants don't see you as an emergency and consider monitoring your situation for the time being the best thing.
Wishing you all the best! Take care!

Try to find out how long the wait is at your local hospital. I found information on the website of my hospital under cardiac surgery department. My hospital had a target of 12 weeks but were operating at 56 weeks unless there was a serious event like heart attack. I was very fortunate and found a way to have my triple CABG privately. It's natural to feel anxious. I found the more facts about surgery and timing I had the more I felt in control
