I have been on 10mg Butrans since Saturday following a period of extreme augmenting on prami. The first night was amazing, slept right through. Since,then, less effective each night .Very little last night and tonight seems to be going the same way. I only take bp meds and these are OK with rls.

My 4th night on Butrans after a nightmare period. First couple of nights, amazing, a little discomfort on and off but mostly good. Day times are fine. Tonight is a disaster. Up and down all night. I have 2 of the 5mcg patches.Is this usual ?

hi my mum has recently started the butrans patch and has swapped her tramadol for codeine. shes worried as she has read that codeine should not be taken with butrans patch as they are both opioids is this correct? many thanks x

Hi I have been on 40mg of Zomorph (slow release Morphine) for several years .I take 20mg morning and 20mg evening plus 150mg Pregablin evenings I would like to know what would be the equivalent dose of Butrans patch I would need to use weekly Thankyou Pipps

I have just been prescribed Butrans (Buprenorphine) weekly skin patches. These are for pain control as I have terminal cancer and getting constant pain. I also suffer from refractory PLMD and am on a high dose of Neupro patch(6mg).

The Rheumatologist put me on Butrans Patches 5 mg to start with and now increased to 10mg. This does take the edge off pain so, despite some side effects, I am more comfortable now.

This became a cycle, later came Butrans patches….. the cycle happened again. It got to the point where the only next option was Fentanyl.

Due to the holiday, I refrained from beginning the Butrans patch until last night. I was up almost all night. The spasms were bothersome, but I also was "wired" and could not relax for sleep. Any of the members recall problems when switching to the Buttons patch?

After years of chronic pain with no success taking the usual anti depressants, I have been prescribed Butrans patches 5 mg. They are certainly helping with nerve pain but not with joint pain.

follow up to my first question; I’m not sure if I’m still having withdrawal or the butrans just isn’t a good choice for me

trying to switch from 50 fentanyl patch to 10 butrans, having withdrawal and a terrible time switched 5 days ago? How long will this last?

I was on and off oxycodone, but now using Butrans lowest dose. Also using Gabapentin and Celebrex. I took a pain management course through the VA which helped me manage the pain, but I still have, what I call, flares of break through pain.

I discussed this at my last liver clinic appointment, and was told they would be ok with me having something like Tramadol (or the Butrans patches I had several years ago, but gave up because they made me so sleepy) - but my GPSs flatly refuse to prescribe any stronger pain relief for me.

hi everyone hope you are well today.spoke to Painmanagement consultant yesterday and he suggested trying butrans patch for my pain. All my hip back pain back with a vengeance and I've broke my foot. Has anyone tried these patches ?if so any feedback welcome

I've just been coming off butrans patch its not been easy at all, like having the flu. Bad flu. I had major back surgery but prior to that was placed on the patch 20 Mc down to 10 and now off patch but withdrawal awful.

Has anyone used Butrans or buprenorphine for chronic pain? I am scared it will aggravate my restless legs.... Any help is appreciatied. This is the patch form.

I'm currently on 600mg pregabalin and 15mg/ph butrans patches 30mg dihydrocodeine as well as paracetamol n cbd oil as well as smoking cannabis. Has anyone got any coping mechanisms that may work?

(I've been attempting to gain weight for 3 years now 😂) I'm currently under the pain clinic who have put me on 30mg/ph butrans patches, 600mg of pregabalin, dyhdrocodine & anti-sickness tablet's, all have their own set of horrible side effects!

I have been taken off the Butrans pain patches due to the bad reactions to them. I have since been tried on 2 Amitriptyline at night, also Pregabalin twice a day. And just recently started as well, on Co-codamol, initially 1 of the 8/500mg's to take twice a day.
