Parental emotional impact of stool withholding. I'm so drained. Reaching out.
My daughter is nearly three has been on long term laxatives since the end of October for chronic stool withholding that began when we started toilet training her 8 months ago. I feel I'm getting all the right medical advice as we've seen a specialist continence paediatrician. What I'm reaching out about

After 6 months of waiting to get a referral I got a GI doctor. I told him what's going on and he said "no procedures let's do medicine!" He said linzess which I tried once and passed out. I lost so much fluid I turned blue and my mother is an emergency room and was the one who gave it to me. I told him

Deja Vu. CEBOC may not be working.
So after great results from chemo and again two months after, I've come crashing down again 😔. Ca125 has started rocketing again just as it did in February, three months after chemo. They've brought my CT scan forward to next week with a review the week after. To say I'm gutted, scared, weary and a

Bedwetting in 8 yr old. Desmopressin and bed alarm not helping
My son is 8 and for about the last two years he's wet the bed every night, we resorted back to pull ups and these were soaking. After undergoing assessment for ASC we have managed to get prescribed desmopressin melts, one per night. We have been doing this for three weeks and using a bed alarm. In three

Husband suffered severe brain injury
My husband was involved in a serious car crash in Sept 2018. He was put in an induced coma for 6 and a half weeks aswell as having numerous operations on the rest of his body. Help, with home hemo
I am hoping someone can help me, or at least give me information. I am new to the forum. I had been doing PD for about 18 months. I decided that I wanted to change to home hemodialysis as I feel the PD was really affecting my quality of life (not to mention the time commitment). I have just begun in-center

Stool withholding, laxido and accidents. How do I get the dose right?
My daughter is 3 in December . She's been potty training for 7 months and has been stool withholding most of the time or just pooing in her knickers. After months of trying behavioural interventions my daughter started long term laxatives last Sunday after an awful weekend of constipation and stool withholding

Is It Time for a Nursing Home?
Hi all Its been a long time since I have been here, I am sorry about that. I have just been in headless chicken mode. My most lovely Mother is in the advanced stages of CBD. She cannot move, communicates mainly with her eyes, has great difficulty swallowing, has skin pressure sores, double incontinence

Update on Transplant
Hi all Just a quick update, hubby is now making progress, still in intensive care, but they have removed the ventilator. On kidney dialysis but hopefully that will come good too. I know we have a long road ahead of us but I honestly was scared we might not even get the chance to go on it!!! The staff

Sudden daily wetting during school
My 7 year old son has had problems with chronic constipation since the age of 2. He has been on movicol throughout that time and more recently supplemented with sodium picosulphate. He sits on the loo after breakfast and after dinner and at present is free of soiling accidents and does a poo most days
