Levodopa Medications and Vitamin B6
Introduction
Vitamin B6 is a cofactor in over 100 enzymatic reactions. In the process it is converted from the active form, principally P5P (pyridoxal-5-phosphate), to the inactive form, pyridoxine. An excess of pyridoxine is toxic because it occupies sites that require the active form. For this

De-lurking!
I’ve been reading and inwardly digesting this forum since December '16. Neck and back/scapula/rib ache from Octoberish, down left shoulder into arm, fatigue (I thought I had a touch of lazyitis). By January left hip, groins, axillas, and I asked my chiro (who had been trying to sort my back/shoulder

Benapali
Hi all. I have just seen the rheumy team who have advised they are switching my son from embrol to benapali. I'm feeling rather concerned as after a bad start with methotrexate he has now been on the embrol for about 2 years and it's worked really well with only a couple of flares. My worries are side

Steroid injections or treatment assessment?
A year ago my rheumatologist added daily
Brufen

to help with the tendon pain mainly. This was good but now doesn't seem to make much real difference.

Hello all Just wondering if there's anyone who has also had problems getting nifedipine(Adalat) ?. It's such a common blood pressure pill that I'm surprised there are manufacture problems for it!. My GP surgery has put me on a substitute Adalat retard until they can get the original one again. Anyone

Ouch! Ouch! Poor old feet.
Morning all. Have reached W7 and have so far had a fairly comfortable journey so was feeling lucky until a couple of days ago. My feet are really achy and in need of some kind of rescue remedy. My running shoes seem to fit well and my socks are cushioned so I can only think it must be my style. I've

Should I be referred by GP?
Hello, I've suffered with Raynauds for almost 3 years now. I have been prescribed Adalat Retard by my GP. Recently my symptoms have gotten worse, both my feet are affected as are both hands. My hands are getting worse , very painful and turn from white fingers to a greyish black colour, this usually

Hi, as the title says I am actually doing o.k on my medication, Apixaban and Zemtard. They appear to be keeping things fairly well under control with only a few minor hic cups now and again. However there are a couple of things I would appreciate some advice with please if anyone can help. Have been

Anti inflammatories
Does anyone have recommendations of anti inflammatories which won't rot your guts? I benefit from ibuprofen but am expecting the gastroenterologists to tell me to stop it. They won't allow methotrexate either which is quite a loss. I'd quite like to go to my appointment next Monday with a list of possible
