Early Breast Cancer - Radiation Treatment
I'm about to embark on a 4 week radiation therapy after my lumpectomy. I'm not looking forward to it. I have a weak heart and ultra sensitive skin. The more I read about its long term side effects, the more hesitant I become. Any advice for me? Has anyone skipped radiation treatment?

Uncertainty is the worst
Hello! To cut a long story short, I had Hodgkins lymphoma in 2005 and therefore am at higher risk of breast cancer. A CT scan showed that something in my right breast took the dye. The follow mammogram is not showing anything but I have very dense breast tissue. The right breast is now a whole cup size

the DARE trial....anyone familiar with it, been in it?
the trial is ongoing screening of your blood every 6 months, checking for ctDNA ( cancer tumor DNA)....if it is found you begin a treatment regimen...if not they just continue to screen you for 2 years...any thoughts? In my mind this should be the future of cancer detection as it finds the disease at

DCIS Diagnosis in 2023
Hi everyone, I had a routine mammogram in March 2023 and I was so confident that it was going to be fine, that I forgot about it by the end of the same day. I was shocked to get a phone call 10 later to tell me that they had found a mass in my left breast. I remember telling female friends about it

Epigenetic therapy (decitabine) shows promise for endocrine-resistant breast cancer
Using a low dose of the epigenetic therapy drug decitabine, which is currently used to treat some blood cancers, the researchers significantly suppressed the growth of endocrine resistant breast tumours in mice and increased survival time by 90%. The finding, which will be tested in a future Phase I

No benefit of chemo for ER+HER2- invasive lobular beyond estrogen therapy
Just found this in the digest I get of medical journal articles (MD Edge): Women with estrogen receptor (ER)–positive, human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2)–negative invasive lobular carcinoma who are treated with endocrine therapy do not derive any additional survival benefit from neoadjuvant

walnuts
hello, I’m post breast cancer treatment and on tamoxifen. There’s been a bit of thyroxine wobbling as I started that so being monitored. I’m eating more nuts, particularly / including walnuts (good for Bc) for extra protein as I’m exercising and lifting weights. how long would you wait before
