hi everyone, my dad has had MBC since June of 2022. He has been on Ibrance, letrozole, lupron, and xjeva. His Mets were to bone and then he was NED for a year from June 2022 to June 2023. In July he took a PET scan and it showed a slight uptake of activity to his chest wall. Plan was to keep him on

Hi all. Hope your all doing well. In Jan 2023 I had bilateral tumours each being 7mm. Was tested for braca2 came up positive (history of bc in family rife!). Lymph nodes clear. Opted for double mastectomy and oomphaloompha surgery (removal of ovaries and tubes). Its not really called that but close

Stage 4 Breast Cancer I just started have had three rounds I feel so much better I was in horrible pain with this one. My second time around in two years . I hope they keep experimenting and have some positive news for triple negative. I had some fatigue but nothing I couldn’t handle sleep has returned

Long Story then Question: Ibrance or Pikray?
The liver biopsy of my
metastatic
breast
cancer
indicates Pikray as the one. I know that Pikray is bad for the liver but it seems to go with Fulvestrant which is what I am on and what has finally become ineffective. Ibrance seems to go with Letrozol.

Stopping Levothyroxine temporarily
I found out I had an underactive thyroid when had a routine blood test after breast cancer diagnosis. I had no symptoms, but was put on Levothyroxine (50) by GP at the time. I was also on Letrozole to stop estrogen. I was on Letrozole for 7 years, but since stopping it, I've had tummy problems...bloating

stage 4
hi, Im new to this forum although I have been reading your posts over recent days, which have been very encouraging, and given me some hope. I wasn’t expecting to read such positivity and positive outcomes. There is a but however . My diagnosis couldn’t be any worse. I’m stage 4 advanced, high grade

OC scans and breast screening
My CT scans will include chest from now on due to lymph node involvement of OC. Just wondering if that negates the need for breast screening mammogram. Would a chest CT pick up breast changes anyway? I am under age 50 with strong family history of breast and ovarian cancers. Not currently in regular

Is this normal?
Hi there🥰. Its been awhile since I’ve written but I’m always thankful for the information in this group. After 5 years on exemestane, I received the following report after my last scans. Progression…and I’m scared. Today my MO put me on tamoxifen with scans scheduled in 2-3 months. Is this a normal

4yrs post first diagnosis
I was diagnosed and treated for breast cancer in the fall of 2019- had a lumpectomy and have been on Tamoxifen since then. I am scheduled for my yearly diagnostic mammogram on Thursday but today I noticed a peculiar change in my other breast- redness in one distinct area- the same place as my last

has anyone had a lumpectomy with MBC?
Hi all- I love this site and the camaraderie that you all give me. Always feel less alone when I read your posts. And have learned so much! I was diagnosed in May 2020 , HER2 positive stage 4 found Mets in lymph nodes and trachea area. Treatment has worked great, Ibramce and exemastane (way better

Headache and nausea
I had a lumpectomy in January and radiotherapy in May. I was originally told the biopsy was negative but when they did the lumpectomy it had started to change, hence the radiotherapy. I am getting a lot of bad headaches and feeling nauseous on and off during the day and have read this could be a symptom

low grade ovarian cancer in the lungs
I had pleural effusion for 2 years. My doctor didn't say that the cancer could get into the lungs but it did. I received 6 rounds of weekly taxol and carbo platin but it didn't work. Now my doctor wants to stop all treatment and send me to hospice care. please let me know if you have had that experience

Vitamin D supplements and elevated blood work
here is my story and my question. Everything has been going well for me for about a year. Blood work stable, tumor marker test levels decreasing and stable scans. However, recently I was diagnosed with very low levels of vitamin D and began supplementation with 50,000 IU once a week. Since I misunderstood

My Journey - Breast Cancer
So far - I'm Lucky. On March 8th - my husband found a lump on my right breast. He was so sweet - Honey - when was your last Mamo. July 2023 - Why. And then he showed me what he felt. After a sleepless night - right to the Gyno - no worries about apts. I needed to see them. They got me a Mamo

bone met pain or something else ?
Hi group, Please can someone please help me out? Anything! Question about inner thigh pain. My mom started Doxil this June after new spots appeared with Xeloda after 1 full year. This July she broke her vertebrae (t4) this was a spot where the cancer showed up and she had a fall in the meantime

Advice for treatment of liver metastases.
Hi Ladies I finished chemo in February for second recurrence. Unfortunately my CA125 was rising, was 9 the 27 now 55 and it's a good indicator for me that something is happening. Had a CT and it shows one tumor 2.4cms in my liver. All clear otherwise. Lots of emotions. Disappointed but relieved it's
