Hypertonic saline nebuliser
I've just started using this and wondered what time of day people tend to neb? I've opted for first thing in the morning before I eat. Does that sound right?

Hi
Hi All, Diagnosed with late on set asthma at 60. Prior to this had been told my upper respiratory congestion was due to post nasal drip. But things got worse, climbing hills, any rapid change of pace etc. I am a survivor of breast cancer in my 40s, when I had lots of chemo and radio therapy to left side

Lung Volume Reduction using Pulmonary Valves. (Revisited)
Back in November 2012, I wrote an article "Lung Volume Reduction using Pulmonary Valves. My experiences as a patient." The content of that post is still relevant, and may help some of the new members. So I decided to re-post it; Here it is:- Lung Volume Reduction using Pulmonary Valves. My experiences

Fed up. Here we go again
Hi, you'll possibly know by now that I was in hospital 2 weeks ago for 3 nights after getting 2 viruses back to back, after 7 days on steroids hadn't done anything. A week after getting out on a reducing dose of prednisolone I was getting worse again and the GP put the dose back up to 40mg. Finally started

Hello, I am new(ish) to this site so I hope this post is allowed. I have a nebuliser, Medix Traveller 2000 which is not needed now. It works fine but is quite noisy. I understand it can be used in the car tho it never has been It would be heavy to post but if anyone is in the vicinity of Brighton. E.

Exercise trigger
Hi My asthma is usually triggered by allergies or emotions. Yesterday I had to run as fast as I could in the autumn air and had a nasty flare up of my asthma. I used nebuliser a couple of times yesterday and overnight had a horrible sore gunky chest. Today peak flow is still low and chest is sticky (

Nebulizer
New here. My nebulizer creates steam with no problem, but it is to much steam. It chokes me when inhaling in. Anyone have this problem?

Inhaler or Nebuliser???
I have at least four asthma flare ups a year. Right now, I'm having a bad flare up. In 16 years, this is the worst flare I have had. I take symbicort 160/4.5, montelukast (singulair), and Omeprezole everyday. I also take albuterol as my rescue. I'm wondering if a nebuliser would help me out. Thanks!!

Suffering in the morning
Hi everyone, Never posted before so I'll give you a bit of background. I'm 26 but been diagnosed with asthma since I was 18 months old and have brittle asthma. I'm normally either having a really tough time breathing or I'm good. I normally really suffer through September but actually made it through

Nebulisers
Had a good day. Used my salbutamol inhaler only once. I may have been over dependent on nebuliser as I had it in hospital. Was in for 3nights just home on Friday.Thought I would let you know as you were so supportive. Good to know there is a sympathetic group out there. Many thanks.

Hypertonic nebulisers
Hi would appreciate advice on hypertonic nebulisers. Is it something that is routinely prescribed in adult patients with PCD? I have been on nebulised antibiotic therapy along with atrovent for many years. Just wondering whether I would benefit by adding hypertonic saline nebs pre physio? Many thanks
