Small victories?

After struggling on for a couple of weeks without really improving I gave in today and headed in to A&E 😭

But taking victories where I get them - it’s the first time I haven’t been rushed through to resus in about 18 months!! “Only” requiring back to back nebs in majors at the moment 😂 fingers crossed I might actually escape an admission 🤞

Whoop whoop!!! Congratulations 🥳🎉🎉🎉

I hope you get out without admission (and manage to stay out over Christmas 🤞🏻)

Woohoo! Crossing fingers for no admission and like Emma says, behaving lungs over Xmas (crossed fingers for you both and anyone else who has misbehaving gangsters for airbags).

Hope this helps with the case for Xolair too.

I hope and pray you are sorted.

FREEDOMMMM. It took some intense negotiation with the resp team who were not at all keen to discharge me today with my history but I’m going to home to my much warmer family home tomorrow so persuaded them 😂

Sadly I have to have sando k for a few days to replace my potassium which is foul but ah well, I’ll take it!

🎉Yahooo!!!! 🎉Glad you’re out!

Good luck with the sando k 😅🤢 - hope you’re lungs behave to avoid a repeat performance over Christmas! 🤞🏻

Have chugged down one lot 🤢 have a slightly late Christmas dinner with my housemate now to wash away the taste 😂

Yay!! Excellent hostage negotiation skills there *by* the hostage...

ewwww Sando K though! Hard to describe the nastiness...luckily have only had it once and that I'm blaming on A&E for 3L of IV fluid lol. Not sure how I have avoided given all the K-dumping medications I take but avoiding that is motivation.

Just have to have more Xmas food to take the taste away hehe. Does your family live somewhere exotic or is it just warmer than the Midlands?

Hope lungs behave over Xmas.

Ugh I know it’s foul stuff 😩 and thanks to my stupid oral allergy syndrome meaning I react to most raw fruits/veg I can’t even just say I’ll eat some bananas! (Although apparently spinach and broccoli are high in potassium too so perhaps stir fries are in order?)

First time I’ve actually managed to leave a&e (or resp hospital) on the day in about 18 months so woooo 🥂

I’m off to the exotic lands of Sussex 😂😂 but intend to consume lots of Christmas food and probably gain back the pred weight I’d managed to shift in one sitting

Is orange juice included in your oral allergy? As that's meant to have lots of potassium. Also dark chocolate if you like that (hmm maybe there is my answer to why I don't need Sando K often - have to eat the choc, it's medicinal! Actually dislike milk choc but can't get enough dark so if you like that, good excuse at Xmas hehe).

Yay for escaping on the day! Probably good you don't live anywhere too exotic really as I can't imagine them being too happy about you getting on a plane. My lungs think air travel is the tool of Satan for some reason.

Xmas food all good hehe...it's already started at work and both my pharmacy and resp clinic have chocs out on the main desk, though I'm never entirely sure if we're meant to just help ourselves or if they're for staff!

Oooooh I love me some dark chocolate! Me and my dad also always go a little nuts making puddings for Christmas so there’s always lots being eaten as “tasters” (master chef etc always say it’s important to try your food!!)
