Tinnitus! Anyone else developed tinnitus as a result of chemo?
I was warned that cisplatin could cause hearing damage and, true enough I developed tinnitus! It comes and goes but today it is bad!

A good day so far?
I've managed to go shopping with my partner! (Hooray!) To be honest though, I only made the entrance to Morrisons but I managed Asda Living, Tescos, Farm Foods and Home Bargains. Started in Farm Foods, and I was dizzy but kept doing my deep breaths, pulse was a bit fast. Managed to get around

Shingles And Meningitus!
My name is Ana and I am 50 year old English lass. I am currently working in Atlanta Georgia (USA). When I was back in England in march I had indigestion pains in my upper chest. They came and went. Then on April 13th I had a wee itch on my right shoulder blade. I thought it was a thread from my shirt

W1R3 done - who'd have thought it! But terrified of W2...
Again, thoughts of collapse - nay,
death
- swam through my oxygen-starved
brain
. Would this be my final hour/60 seconds?

Should I have DBS or not?
I was diagnosed about 10 years ago. May 2011 I was in Lund to be accessed by a neurosurgeon. I have the shakes quite bad AT TIMES, not all the time, I take only about 1/3 of the total amount of Stalevo and Requip. Because of the waiting time I have begun to worry - do I really need DBS, the thought

Have you heard about a new Levadopa Gel?
' From the European Parkinsons Disease Association (EPDA) "A gel form of medication implanted in the smal intestine is more successful in reducing 'off' time in people with advanced Parkinson's, according to a new study at the University of Maryland. This may prove to be an alternative for more

Interesting article “Towards a Meningitis-free world, can we eliminate meningococcal meningitis?”
An interesting read: “Towards a Meningitis-free world, can we eliminate meningococcal meningitis?” We have jointly written an article, now published in the influential medical journal 'Vaccine', exploring the critical role the patient groups play within the UK in the fight against meningitis. There

We're urgently trying to raise awareness to those who don't know of this terrible disease.
Hi everyone, At the Meningitis Trust we urgently need help to raise vital awareness of meningitis. Would you be willing to share your story? We are concerned to find in a recent study that 5.3m adults in the UK cannot name a symptom of meningitis. Your stories cannot only help others who have

It has been almost 3 months since I was "turned on" The difference is incredible. As my 5 year old granddaughter days - Mimi - "you are magical" On the other hand my 6 year old granddaughter asked me "how is your brain surgery going?" it tok me awhile to figure out that she though I had elected to
