Vomiting after meals
He is on maximum dose of Domperidone, has had
Botox
injections to the pyloric valve which actually made things worse and his surgeon has mentioned both pyloroplasty and vagotomy as options although neither he nor Nielsen is keen on it as there is no guarantee of success and once done irreversible.

Upward gazing eyes and neck retraction.
The neurologist has suggested
botox
for his eyelids but my husband has refused. Does anyone know at what stage of the illness does neck retraction and upward gazing occur, also what treatment have people experienced for this problem? Wishing you all a Happy New Year with plenty of blogging.

Why isn't my mother gaining weight after botox treatment for achalasia?
My mother is 72 and went from 140lbs to 99lbs before diagnosis. She is currently 103lbs and uses Ensure 2x a day plus eating normally. She has osteoporosis which became much worse with the achalasia and she has also developed mild dementia which we thought may be related to the achalasia. She also

Botox for salivary glands?
My sister talked to a neurologist who works at the same hospital she does who said that
botox
injections in the salivary glands should help. My moms old neurologist never suggested this.

Allergies, Constipation and Motility (and Movicol !)
In the USA
Botox
has successfully been used to treat this problem but identifying the inflammatory triggers and treating the inflammation is the way forward.

Quickest migraine ever?
All I can think is that the headache was on the opposite side to usual, and the tiny bit of
botox
I had there 2 months ago (as opposed to the massive bit they put in the other side) had really worked, along with a bit of ibuprofen. I was right as rain yesterday too. It could have been much worse.

I take Ezomeprazole for acid. Why isn't it working for the reflux?
I have problems with the pylorus sphincter being too narrow and recently had a dilatation and
botox
in that area. I frequently have this burning acid coming up into the back of my throat and it is disturbing my sleep at night and my quality of life during the day.

Pylorus Sphincter very tight. What are my options?
I have been offered a gastroscopy and during that scope the specialist will decide on whether to dilate or give me
botox
. I have read a lot about the
botox
and i don't have much faith in that it will work for long.

Anyone considering surgery?
I've completed the questionaire & been accepted for a consultation & the
Botox
Test. Just wondered if anyone else is going through this process at the moment?

BOTOX AS PAIN MANAGEMENT : ONE GUINEA PIG’S EXPERIENCE, AND THE DAFT THINGS PEOPLE SAY ABOUT IT.
But I’ve seen them do
botox
on those TV make-over programmes – the women just wince a bit then they go off for a celebrity hair-do and a whole new wardrobe A. That’s on the telly.

Still Puzzled....
Botox
apparently might help, now not available on the NHS - so only alternative is heat packs... Head really bad today - just not resolving, reduced steroids today to 50mg - been 55mg last 2 weeks and 2 weeks prev on 60mg. They still think it is GCA, just particularly resistent...

Cure for droopy eyelids
One eye seems worse than the other, she has trouble keeping the eyelid open. 5 days ago went to her specialist neurologist who suggested we give
botox
a try. Guess what IT WORKS. She is saying its much better. And I can actually see its improved.

Why do they turn up when you don't need them?
My
botox
is due next week. And only last week I was thinking that just maybe I could let the interval between the injections go a bit longer next time becuase I was feeling so good. Just shows how wrong I am and how much I need that stuff. Only another 3 hours before I can have more medicine!
