Anyone considering surgery?
I've completed the questionaire & been accepted for a consultation & the
Botox
Test. Just wondered if anyone else is going through this process at the moment?

He wants me to see this gastro doc asap and have the dilatation/
botox
before i see him in clinic in Liverpool on December 17th as he said that he doesn't want to loose touch with what is happening to me.

BOTOX AS PAIN MANAGEMENT : ONE GUINEA PIG’S EXPERIENCE, AND THE DAFT THINGS PEOPLE SAY ABOUT IT.
But I’ve seen them do
botox
on those TV make-over programmes – the women just wince a bit then they go off for a celebrity hair-do and a whole new wardrobe A. That’s on the telly.

Still Puzzled....
Botox
apparently might help, now not available on the NHS - so only alternative is heat packs... Head really bad today - just not resolving, reduced steroids today to 50mg - been 55mg last 2 weeks and 2 weeks prev on 60mg. They still think it is GCA, just particularly resistent...

Cure for droopy eyelids
One eye seems worse than the other, she has trouble keeping the eyelid open. 5 days ago went to her specialist neurologist who suggested we give
botox
a try. Guess what IT WORKS. She is saying its much better. And I can actually see its improved.

Why do they turn up when you don't need them?
My
botox
is due next week. And only last week I was thinking that just maybe I could let the interval between the injections go a bit longer next time becuase I was feeling so good. Just shows how wrong I am and how much I need that stuff. Only another 3 hours before I can have more medicine!

Pisa syndrome and DBS
In attempting to overcome this, I’ve tried physical therapy, medication changes, chiropractic,
botox
and a few more, all to no avail. I’m now scheduled for DBS (very shortly) but am fearful it may be a waste, and impose unnecessary risks. I’d like to hear from anyone with similar experience.

Beware of carrot cake, it can put you in hospital!!
Just what I needed two weeks after having
Botox
treatment for my bladder problems which has now left me having to use a catheter up to 5 times a day. Still, you know what they say, it neva rains but it pours!!. Glad to say I am on the mend for now though and hoping to keep it that way.

Flashing lights - is it normal to see them so much?
I've been having
botox
for a while - which is massively helpful in reducing the intensity and duration of the headaches but doesn't stop the other symptoms. I've been to the eye clinic and they say my eyes are absolutely fine and can't explain the persistant blue lights.

thoughtful prose about pain
Eventually I found a straw I could grab hold of, and Pain agreed with me that it would sit still in the background for a bit if the doctors fed it with
botox
every now and again.
