Newest Bloods since starting T3!
Bloods were taken fasting, before 9 am, no thyroid meds, a week after the last
Biotin
dose. I'm gluten-free, vegan. Also, THANK YOU SO MUCH to those who posted to help me with the T3 initial dosing. I had NO issues whatsoever!

How much reduction in dose to lower TSH to please the specialist???
I never take
Biotin
. Now he wants fresh blood work before he decides if he needs to reduce my dose to raise my TSH. I'm thinking of next Tuesday, and perhaps making an adjustment to my intake between now and then. Maybe skip a day? Or two? Or three?

Vitamins
I have done some research on line and found that apparently
Biotin
can affect test results, this seems to be in all multivitamins. Also someone recommended taking 200mg selenium for under active thyroid. Does anyone have any thoughts on this? Thank you 😀.

I followed recommended protocols on timings etc ie. before 0900am, no levo for 24 hours and no
biotin
for 4 days. I note my FT3 % is down to 15%!! however my consultant says all levels are looking good (he's a Nuclear Medicine dr.). Over the last year the trend of my FT3 seems to be dropping.

BIOTIN...VITAMIN tablets and food SUPPLAMENTS
Gp advised multi vitamins and Complan to help boost intake....but both carry
biotin
...many off the shelf and cheap vitamins have
biotin
. But I have ready that
biotin
leaves the body after only a few hours. So can I take all my supplaments but just stop say a few days before my blood tests ?

Biotin and FT4/FT3 testing
Biotin
interference, which is caused by high-dose
biotin
intake and immunoassays using some form of streptavidin-
biotin
complex, is sometimes clinically problematic, giving high or low results.

Advice regarding Thyroid levels
For the record, I am Gluten/Dairy/Soy free, and had all blood tests early morning with no
Biotin
the week before. Advice appreciated.

Hot Sweats/Flushes
These are the results of Monday's test taken at 1030am, levo at 0200am,
biotin
not suppressed. TSH 0.70% through range, FT4 109% through range, FT3 30% through range. My consultant 'doesn't know what to make of these results...'

First test results after adding T3 - I’m confused!
I was due to test before Christmas, but, I was bogged down with a bad cold then I realised that I hadn’t stopped
biotin
, so, the first opportunity I had to test after the Christmas chaos was last week.

Confirming blood tests needed to diagnose hyperthyroid (asking for my sister-in-law)
She's not on any Thyroid meds, but I will advise that she should stop any multi-vitamins a week before and any other vit/supp she might take that include B complex,
biotin
, or iron. Anything you'd change, or anything different if it's hyper we suspect vs hypo? Thanks as always!

currently on 75mcg tirsont 3 days a week and 100mcg tiro 4 days a week plus 1 1/4 grains armour These are fasting bloods, no
biotin
for a week before and 12 hour gap between NDT and 24 hour gap with levo before bloods. I notice when ever I increase armour my t3 goes over range.

On looking closer my B vits have 750mcg
Biotin
in and I didn't realise that could affect results until I read your post. I left off my B vits two days before I tested. With the latest results in mind, could they have in fact been compromised and I should retest?

Bloods advice pls -starting T3 combo
So far I'm now more aware of titration, splitting dosages and importance of optimal vits/gluten, when to test, avoid
biotin
before tests, thank you! 😊 I bought a medicheck thyroid blood test as i wasnt getting results from clinic, but they have now posted them.
