Is it okay to continue calcium prior to Thyroid Lab work?
Aside from Biotin and all B vitamins, is it okay to continue calcium supplements prior to TSH lab tests? My dr said to stop Biotin 48 hrs prior to test.

Stuffed Dates.....My Favourite vegan snack 😋
Hi everyone, I often make these, they are delicious and I didn’t even know I liked dates but they are so gooey and tasty. These are a really good vegan substitute for snickers bars, which is how I discovered them and then realised they are on line. I make two or three at a time and are lovely for

DBS has changed my life
Yes Dbs has reduced medication by 75%. It has made my Dyskenisia disappear. With setting changes have not visited the doctor even after 15 months after surgery.

Trying to move forward.
Hi all. I'm currently about 4.5 months post transplant, and my goodness my meds are giving me the round abouts. I've been very vocal about the side effects that I'm experiencing: hot flashes, mood swings/emotional instability, hightened anxiety, short term memory loss, sensory issues, hair loss/thinning

Shingles vaccination. Is this a good idea when you have hypothyroidism?
My husband has just been invited by the surgery to have a shingles vaccination and in a fortnight's time I will become eligible for the same vaccination. I have never thought of shingles as being that serious or even all that common but apparently one in three people will get it after the age of 50 and

Can total TSH labs change without dosage change?
I looked over the past 4 years of my TSH labs since I was always on .50 mcg Synthroid. Unfortunately I had a useless primary care dr order my TSH labs and she never told me not to take biotin, vitamins, etc. prior to test. Nor did she check my antibodies. I was just put upped .75 mcg since my TSH

Squirrel scratches? Chances of Rabies or Tetanus
Anyone bitten by a squirrel or mistakenly scratched by one in the UK? Out in Hyde Park on Sunday and very brave Squirrel ran up my leg when my back was turned. I do not interact with wildlife at all so as soon as that happened I screamed and it jumped off straight. The jump was very light and didn't

SHINGLES ON MY FACE.
Has anyone had an experience with shingles on their face? I have been dealing with it for a couple of years. The sores are gone but the nerves in my face are highly sensitive. Even the nerves on my gums and teeth on that side of my face. I use triamcinolone acetonide on my face which helps a little

Multivitamin recommendations and do Biotin supplements help with hair loss/thinning?
Hi. I am on Ibrance and Faslodex and would like to know what brand of multivitamins can you recommend. Also, I am experiencing more hair thinning on Ibrance. Can those who use Biotin supplements share their experience? Do they work to slow the hair loss? Maria
