Besremi

Many of us are likely to be moving over to Besremi within the next month or so. Are there many here who have already done this and can they please share their experiences re equivalent dosages and any side effects. Also how long a gap between stopping Pegasys and starting Besremi?

I'm interested in others who may have had something similar with auto-immune issues on Besremi. Apologies for the saga.

My preference is rather Besremi, but my hematologist is totally unfamiliar with interferon…

I am scheduled for my next Besremi dose this Friday. Does anyone has experience on how far apart should be Besremi administered from the moment of infection with COVID? Also, anyone has experience if one of the Besremi dose is skipped?

I just wanted to say Happy Wednesday and Besremi update. I am now down to 175mcg every other week. WBCs came up to 3.0, hct 36.5, PLts 183! Neutrophils up to 2.1, lymphocytes 0.7. Feeling great! Thyroid is under better control and all other labs looked pretty good!

Today I saw news on PharmaEssentia's website stating that they have applied in the United States to launch a pen Injector for Besremi. I think this is a good development?

I've recently started Besremi for treatment for PV. I will be transitioning from hydroxyurea, and wonder if others have experience with this. How long did it take after beginning Besremi for your blood counts to reach desired levels? How were the side-effects?

I have Polycythamy vera.Now I have high hemoglobin.7,28.Hematocrit is slightly increased-50.8PLT 420.But Leukozyten are increasing all the time.WBC was 16.46.Now-18.2 The doctor prescribed me Besremi 50 mg one week,second week-100mg Is this a high dose?

I have been on Besremi 350 mg since the beginning 2023. My numbers are very favorable. I noticed that my WBC has been dropping as well as my platelets. No worries about the Platelets but should I have any concerns about my WBC?

Just been to pick up my first couple of syringes of Besremi but Pharmacy couldn’t determine the equivalent dosage level. I showed them Hunter’s screenshot of Dr Mesa’s conversion table but they wanted something from the FDA. Hence asked me to come back tomorrow whilst they work on it.

Also, my Triglycerides, which have always been high, have gone up from 264 (before Besremi) to 322. I'm less concerened about this, but my gut feeling tells me something's going on and I'm worried about my blood sugar levels. Anyone here on Besremi expreienced the same?

Can anyone tell me what PV or Besremi bone pain is like?

I have been on Besremi since May 2023, now consistently at 500 mcg. So far it has brought my platelets under control where they have remained 200-300 consistently.

Reviewing my Cigna Medicare Part D summary I noticed a 2% price increase in Besremi. The total cost to my plan is now $16,970.69/2 doses.

Anyone have data or first hand exp with this mutation and besremi?
