What was your dose on PEG?, and now on Besremi? Maybe the dose is too high?

At least one member found PEG was better tolerated in general. I had fatigue and malaise on Bes, I know it was from too high a dose. But I never took PEG.
Hi Titatagg - interesting - I’ve also been v tired on Besremi (about 2 months on it after 3-4 on Peg. I’ve had other possible contributing factors (nasty cold, venesections etc) so hard to tell what’s caused it and it seems to be improving now; I was tired on Pegasys too but I’m not sure it was as much.
Hi there, sorry to hear that and hope it will get better. Just to remind you that there is no GLOBAL shortage of Peg since USA and Australia never had shortage. It appears that is in UK and Europe only.
I have found similar - I swapped from Pegasys to Besremi, and took my first dose 3 days ago. The brain fog and fatigue are the worst I have felt yet, and sleep deserted me for two nights. I am hoping it will pass...
Hi Titatag,
I’m sorry you’re having a negative experience with Besremi. I’m wondering what your dose is ? I was on HU for years until it stopped working even at high doses. I had terrible fatigue all the time. I have PV.
I’ve been lucky. I started Besremi at 100 and had no side effects other than some itching. I’m now at 150 twice monthly. My bloodwork is almost normal and the fatigue, headaches and mouth sores are gone. I hope this holds.
Perhaps your doctor could adjust your dose somewhat?
I wish you the best. Lu
