Besremi Kidney Cysts?

There’s a side effect of Besremi that we now found. I remember having a bit of Incontinence and my pee stunk as long as I was on Besremi. My newest US shows that I now have 2 cysts on my left kidney which I haven’t had before the Besremi. My mpn specialist had already checked me thoroughly including abdominal US before starting treatment. I was drinking (off and on) pure cranberry juice watered down and stinging nettle tea to help clear my kidneys throughout the treatment.

Has anyone else had this appear since on Besremi?

The trick is now to get rid of the cysts. this has to be investigated before restating Besremi in March.

I have had kidney cysts prior to starting Besremi. I had also seen a decline in kidney function. After assessment by nephrology, nothing was found to be wrong and the only intervention was to be sure to drink more water. Older kidneys are less efficient. Staying well hydrated keeps my kidney numbers in an acceptable range before and after Besremi.

While there is a small risk of Besremi affecting kidney function, I have not seen any evidence specifically regarding cysts. If you find this information, please post it so it is available for review.

Wishing you success moving forward.

Thank you. There was absolutely no signs of any cysts right before I started the Besremi but they were there after a year and a half and also the whole time my uric acid was high no matter how much water I was drinking. I never drank under 3 L a day. In the summer four.

Thanks for writing. I’ll keep in touch regarding developments. 🙂

I had at least two 3cm cycsts ~2 months before starting Bes, last year after my 11 months on Bes they measured 4cm. Urologist said no need for action, but they can be drained and treated to prevent recurrence. I do get occasional light pain there.

But your Sx seem more acute with maybe suspicious timing and worth digging deeper. Has the smell and other issues improved off the Bes?

Yes. Within a month after stopping Besremi, the smell went away. Today I was coached on an herbal supplement from the “ Wolle system” that will help the water in my body move. This already got rid of my swollen lymph nodes that have been swollen for over seven years that is around my my neck, collarbone area,, groin. The swelling went away for the first time after seven years, although I had tried absolutely everything else.

I hope this will work. There is also kidney support in it. My husband will start taking it as well since he has had high. Creatinine levels since he was 14 after using a certain medication. Let’s see what happens.

I know for sure that Anagrelide affects my liver more and Besremi my kidneys more. During my Besremi therapy, my iron acid was also much higher than usual.

I’ll write in a couple of months.

🙂
