suspected epidural tumour
Hi all! Hope you are all doing well. My dad just got his scans back, and to go along with his rising PSA (over 260 now), the said they suspect he has an epidural tumour. Our MO typically glazes past his scan results as she doesn’t seem them significant, I want to make sure I am right to be worried here

switching to a carnivore diet has put my PMR into total remission
I know the subject may be viewed as sensational or just plain wrong, but that is what I have concluded. PSA At Very Low Levels But Starting to Rise
My PSA started to rise from undetectable up to about .36 in July 2021 after 9 years of treatment. My MO reviewed a PSMA and decided to have my largest tumor radiated. My PSA went below .05 once again shortly thereafter. My most recent PSA labs were : .05, .06, .06, and .09 last week. I am conferring

How can I support my brother?
My brother has advanced prostate cancer and has had surgery. New tests show it has metastasised in his hip. I want to be able to support him but also don't want to say the wrong thing or add to the stress he is already feeling. I would appreciate ANY advice ~ thank you so much.

How to Navigate Prostate Cancers With Actionable Mutations - Grand Rounds Highlights, MedPage Today - 09/26/2023
I'm travelling and using an unfamiliar tablet, so no cut and paste from these linked articles. Note the access to a PDF of the full Grand Rounds paper in the second linked article. It has a useful table and simplified treatment algorithm for those mCRPCa with actionable genetic mutations. [i]

PSA bounce after LDR brachytherapy?
Hi all, First, an update, as my last full update about various issues was five weeks after LDR brachytherapy (almost two years ago), in which I reported that, thankfully, I had no urinary, bowel, or sexual function issues. That update is here in the link below, and I'm happy to report that it's all

BCR May Not Be a Strong Surrogate End Point for Prostate Cancer Survival
A new study, below [1] & [2]. In 2004 I came across old studies that showed that ADT promotes changes to the androgen receptor [AR] environment. At diagnosis, the AR is invariably "wild type". When ADT failed, AR gene amplification was common. True mutations were rare. {This was sufficient for

Opinion sought for ADT treatment duration
I started taking Orgovyx tablets last April. Then I went through the typical 45 radiation treatments of the prostate. 3 months ago my PSA had dropped from 8 to 0.7. Last week it had dropped to 0.1 ng/ml. A biopsy last year showed 1 sample identified as Gleason 8. My urologist thinks I can stop taking

B/C ratio
Is there a connection between prostate cancer and BUN/Creatinine ratio? Mine almost doubled in the last three months. Couldn't find anything out from Doctor Google :) Thanks.

Long term Effects of radiation
I had salvage radiation in 2014 after failed RP surgery in 2013 at age 69 for Gleason 9 PCa. I’ve also had radiation of pelvic lymph nodes in 2015 , right femur in 2017, and a rib and clavicle in 2018. A few years ago incontinence developed. I tried clamp, sling and AUS. The latter caused sepsis
