How did your Docetaxel rechallenge compare to your original chemo treatment?
Mr. Spouse 21 is starting a Docetaxel rechallenge next week--3 rounds then another PMSA-PET scan. If you did a Docetaxel rechallenge as well, can you compare your early experiences with the rechallenge in terms of side effects and effectiveness and where you are now? PSA rising
I had spot radiation in June for olio metastatic (2 spots), PSA was .036. In Aug PSA went down to .028. Now it’s .031. Does this mean the radiation of the 2 spots did not work? How long should I wait before ADT?

Gamma Delta CAR T for Bone Metastatic Prostate Cancer: first trial at Moffit
Another trial of something that targets bone metastasis, and works even better if you are under zolendronate . "Most importantly, gamma delta T cells are unique in that they are most efficient when combined with a drug (zoledronate) that is commonly used to protect the bone in patients with bone metastatic

PSMA pet scan
Has anyone had a Pylarify (PSMA) pet scan showing no prostate cancer spread but knew that you had some metastasis in at least one lymph node (seen in an older scan and confirmed by biopsy). I know that there are people who are PSMA negative...not sure if my husband is one. He has had a prostatectomy,

Help: Use of ODM 208 during Phase 3 clinical trials to replace Docetaxel for treatment after Abiraterone - Case Peru
Hello, my father suffers from prostate cancer with bone metastasis. He was taking Abiraterone, and because the cancer has advanced and his PSA has increased in recent months, the use of Abiraterone was cancelled. Now they have suggested chemotherapy with Docetaxel + Celendronic Acid. The hospital contacted

After Lupron I have been having seizures
Hi, In December 2023 I decided to finally undergo treatment for my prostate cancer, Gleason scale 6, with a high PSA of 63 (or 48 on another test) I had had this cancer for eight years WITHOUT it spreading. But doctors kept warning (I would almost say harassing) me, so... I underwent one shot of lupron

Switched from Lupron to Orgovyx, back to Lupron
I was on Lupron for approximately 7 years. I decided to switch to Orgovyx 6 months ago. I seem to have difficulty with the discipline to take pills at the same time every day. If PSA rises when one is on ADT does it always mean resistance or can it be only a particular met growing ?
I see some posts here mention that some people had a psa rise and then got some met radiated and psa went down again. So one is on hormone therapy and psa rises , it does not necessarily mean one is getting castrate resistant ? Just trying to educate myself 😊

Time for Pluvicto?
I had an appointment with the NP at my oncologist's office a couple weeks ago. We discussed the fact that my PSA has been creeping upwards this year and I wondered whether it's just the inevitable failure of Nubeqa, or if my switch from Lupron to Orgovyx last November might be a factor. I started Nubeqa

PSA MYTHS AND FACTS.
I’m putting this subject out here for anyone who wants to share some myths and facts about our biggest testing indicator PSA. I’ll start. The clinic accidentally took two psa tests from me within an hour of each other. The first one read: 11.814 Second one read: 11. 327 (I found this interesting

Medicare Denial of PSa Test
Imagine my surprise when a recent Medicare statement showed they denied coverage for a PSa test, stating that it hadn't been a year since the last one. I've never seen this before., And I didn't pay since it was a denied coverage, Quest had to eat the cost - it's as if Quest did something wrong. I

change in meds?
I’m about to be changed over from Degarelix (Firmagon) to Prostap (Lupron) in a couple of weeks because 3 monthly injection is more convenient. I’ve read that Degarelix is better though.., maybe I should ask to stay on that? Or I’m wondering about asking to switch to Orgovyx instead. I’ve had a quite

PSA Rising and Falling during Chemo
I have been receiving chemotherapy since November 2023. Started with Docetaxel until it failed after 7 cycles. Switched to Cabazitaxel and currently on the 5th cycle. Since starting the Cabazitaxil my PSA has been raising and lowering. I am currently having some scans done to confirm if there is progression

Still Hangin in There
Hi everyone. 9+ years on (take a peek at my bio.) Stage IV pca. I'm still hormone sensitive with undetectable PSA. Living life and enjoying my time with friends and family. In November I will enter year 2 of multiple myeloma DX. Have been through induction but not needing a stem cell transplant

PSA Increase after stopping Xgeva.
I’ve been on Abi for an about a year and Lupron for over two years. I stopped getting Xgeva shots due to side effects and the fact that the worst number on my Dexa scan was -.1. Soon after I stopped the Psa and alp both started to rise very slowly. Anyone experience this? MO is already talking chemo
