Hello, my father suffers from prostate cancer with bone metastasis. He was taking Abiraterone, and because the cancer has advanced and his PSA has increased in recent months, the use of Abiraterone was cancelled. Now they have suggested chemotherapy with Docetaxel + Celendronic Acid.
The hospital contacted him yesterday to find out if we are interested in my father entering the Phase 3 trial of the drug MK5684 or ODM 208. This treatment would replace chemotherapy.
I would like to know if you recommend that I opt for that option or continue only with Docetaxel, since it is in trials I don't know how harmful it could be for my father (72 years old).
Thank you for your time, greetings from Peru.

From what I can tell, it only seems to work well in men who have an AR-LBD genomic mutation. They tested for that mutation with a Guardant-360 blood test. H e might want to have that test before deciding.
