Signifficant PSA LEVELS
I'm an 81 year old man who has had an enlarged prostate for several months. PSA tests levels 9.1 and 8.1 (several months apart). My Father died of prostate cancer, which had spread to other parts of his body. Follwing a Digital Anal test, my prostate was reported as "smoothly enlarged and sulcus palpable

I had PSA of 250 Gleason 9/10 in 2019 Mar. Was under ADT regime from Jun 19 followed by IMRT in Nov 19. It was 39 sessions of 78 Gy to prostrate, prostrate bed, pelvic nodes. Later in Sep 22 PSA started to rise indicating BCR. In Jan 22 underwent Orchidectomy followed by Nubeqa for 19 months now. I've

Does PSA drop after starting ADT tell us anything?
My husband started Firmagon shots a month ago. Before starting his PSA was 5.9. It was tested a few days ago and it’s 1.4 now. Does this tell us anything of any significance? Thanks!

Terrible sleep issues
So now I’m 10+ weeks into treatment consisting of Lupron+Abiraterrone and have completed 5 of 20 radiation sessions. In many ways things seem to be going very well. My PSA numbers have gone from 8.4 to .2 and still falling. My side effects have been minimal , only lately have I seen some mild hot

Why is my RO changing from Degerelix to Lupron after a month?
my husband started ADT treatment and RO informed him that after a month he will switch to Lupron. Is there a reason why he is doing this? As Lupron I read causes depression, anxiety. And if hopefully Degerelix works why change it? Can we request he not ? TIA.

Was hoping not to post again, but...
Hello everyone! I posted this over three years ago: I am 53. Had RP in October (2020). Pathology was G9 pT3bN1M0 with ECE, SVI and positive margin. Had 39 IMRT salvage radiation sessions. Just had my 3rd three month Lupron injection and take the 4 horse pills daily. Right now my PSA and testosterone

Interpreting blood tests
I've been on ADT for 4 months in preparation for RT and then HDR BT. I have localised G8 with an initial PSA of 8.1 Prior to commencing ADT, my PSA inexplicably dropped to 4.94 but then rose to 5.37 within 2 months. Anyway, here are my test results before starting ADT; These are Aussie measurements

Finally got a diagnosis of Endometriosis today
I've been on such a journey with my pelvic pain. I'm 50 and I had a hysterectomy 4 months ago for fibroids. A laparoscopy ruled out Endo last year. I was pain free for the first time in months. I started hrt and my original pains 6 weeks ago came back with a vengeance just like they did last year when

Thank you
I stumbled on this forum about 15 to 18 months ago. Just to show you how little I knew and how clueless I was I had no idea there was run of the mill prostrate cancer or an advanced form. I just knew I had prostrate cancer and needed to make a decision - surgery or radiation. I stumbled through this

All is not cancer that lights up on the scans! In February, a PSMA PET/CT found nothing abnormal, just a minimal PSMA signal from rib 10 right. But the NaF PET/CT: "On the right, rib 10 has abnormal PET uptake (SUVmax 27.3). The same rib uptake can be seen in previous bone scintigraphy and as a minimal

Anyone find cold plunge or sauna helpful?
I'm six weeks in on ADT. Working to stay ahead of fatigue with resistance training and weighted vest walking as I gear up for radiation and chemo in the next few months. Anyone done any cold plunge or sauna to help battle side effects or get better sleep? What was your experience?

The relief of a tablet!
Well, I'm not one to moan about my health condition, but since June I've been suffering with terrible headaches ( cluster) they've been absolutely been brutal. I've been on a long term medication previously and it stopped working, and I've just started taking a new medication 💊, the headaches were so

I know this forum is primarily for those with advanced PCA, yet I regularly see posts by those who've only recently discovered the disease and are not in such adavanced stages, being treated only with 1st-generation ADT. Thus, as a nearly 20-year survivor of PCa (first discovered in 2005) and 10-year

Anyone felt as if drunk while on Relugovix?
After 13 months of ADT vacation, I've gone back on ADT last week. This time I am on Relugovix (Orgovyx) instead of Lupron. Since I exercise pretty much everyday, even upping my training a little more on the cardio side of late, I think I am doing not too bad against the fatigue from the ADT. Then

When can I restart donating blood?
Before my Dx, I had been a very regular blood donor. I am CMV (cytomegalovirus) negative, only about 15% of the population has not been exposed to this. As a result, my blood donations are set aside for infants. As an O positive donor, I was in the Heroes for Babies program as they can only receive
