New to the forum
Hi everyone I'm new to this forum but not new to C25K, over the past 10 years I've probably completed it 12 - 15 times, each time congratulating myself with two weeks off and some wine and cake!!š Earlier this year I got diagnosed with type 2 diabetes and decided to embark on the C25K again, I completed

How long before eating?
General advice is leave at least 30 minutes after taking tablets before eating. Iāve seen other advice saying it should be 60 minutes. The reasoning being that there is ābetter absorptionā but no one defines what that means. What I want to know is what difference does it actually make to absorption

Update on MichaelJH
Good morning! I rang Michael last night as I saw elsewhere that he was quite unwell. At the start of the week he woke early feeling rather strange and thought it best to check his blood glucose level. It was fine but he was having trouble focussing on the phone screen (Libre 2 sensor). The room started

NDT vs T4 T3 combination therapy
Hello everyone. Please share your experience NDT vs combination therapy. Currently I am on combo but still have symptoms (I have no thyroid). I am doing better on combo than on T4 only. I want to try NDT and see if it will make me feel better. Since both of them mainly contain T4 T3 may I expect significant

Advice please for next Roseway appt
What size T4 capsules should I ask for next? I currently take 125mcg split as 2 x 50 and 1 x 25. I'm taking Roseway's compounded T4 capsules so they can't easily be split. I had to test this week as I need my appointment next week in order not to run out, but I only completed my transition from NDT

anyone help me answer Dr please?
I have posted periodically about my medication being amended by my Dr against my wishes. It has taken a month for them to reply to my email of complaint. Is there anyone who can assist me respond to this part of the email please? āWe continue to disagree about the relative roles of TSH and T3/T4 levels

Rheumatologist advices no reduction of prednisolone while adrenal glands not working and has issued emergency hydrocortisone kit
I've had PMR since October 2020 and managed to get down to 2.5mg of prednisolone in February 2023. But after a flare, I had to raise it to 5mg and have been pain-free since then. I started on methotrexate weekly injections (15mg) in December 2023, with the hope of being able to reduce the prednisolone

Is thyroid causing my symptoms?
Hi all, Iām looking for some advice about my blood test results and whether thyroid issues could be the cause of my symptoms. Also if anyone can recommend a doctor in Cardiff / South Wales Iād really appreciate it. Iāve spent years trying to manage and believing (being told) my symptoms are due to anxiety

Should I be worried about suppressed TSH
I am extremely well and all my bloods seem within normal range to me (but not the GP)! I am 61 years old and was diagnosed with Hashimotos Thyroditis and Chronic Fatigue in 2004. My only health issue is very erratic sleep (one night 8 and a half hours, the next 4) which I handle by resting in the afternoon

Real-world incidence and prevention of tumor lysis syndrome (TLS) in chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) treated with venetoclax. From MSK
A few members who have been recommended ventoclax/Venclexta treatment, have posted about their concerns of developing Tumor Lysis Syndrome (TLS). So hopefully the following report from Memorial Sloan Kettering (MSK), summarising 5 years of experience (2016 to 2020 inclusive), of [i]"616 venetoclax escalations

Can I justify Armour?
Without the GP's knowledge (and after advise on here) I came off Armour for a month in order to falsify my results so that the GP would stop getting so upset about my suppressed TSH in the hope that he would continue to treat me with a combination of T4 and Armour which I've been on for 20 years. Cortisol issues
I'm fortunate in having a good GP who is very concerned about my total exhaustion and inability to cope with everyday life. She wrote to my rheumy who authorised a 9am cortisol test. It came back as 104 and he has arranged a short synacthen test in two months time. I've asked the rheumatology dept for

Suppressed TSH and getting optimum on NDT
I'm being treated by a private thyroid Dr for hypothyroid, I'm on NDT Armour and I've been slowly titrating for 12 months from zero treatment. I couldn't get treatment on the NHS. My latest results show TSH at 0.01. My T4 and T3 are the highest they've ever been and I feel much better than I did last

Recent blood test ā Why do I feel so tired?
Hello, Please could you have a look at my recent blood test results and tell me what could be the cause of my constant tiredness? I find it hard to get out of bed in the morning and often wake up with brain fog. I often wake up during the night to pee. I often feel the need to fall asleep in the afternoon

Diet and B vitamins
Hello, I take a daily supplement dose of plant based vitamin B12 Complex and try to eat a range of foods that are healthy. I drink alcohol - maybe 5 units four/five times a week and I read that maybe I should take additional B vitamins to cover myself against there being insufficient to counteract this

New blood test results after 2 months on Levo
Hi, I posted a while back before I first saw a private GP and was put on 50mg of levothyroxine. Weeks 1-3 or there abouts I felt that things were going well. I felt rested after a nights sleep for the first time in years, increased mental acuity, diminished itching of the skin, decreased thirst,

Other blood results
I now have more results Serum folate 14.3 (3.1-17.5) Ferritin 138 (13-150) Iron 14 (5-28) B12 280 (200-940) Since they are in the range āeverything is normalā! The coeliac one was clear so I can now try gluten free for 3 months to see if it makes any changes. But I am still tired, muscle aches

TEVA 100mcg Thyroxine
I had taken another brand for many years and have now been switched to TEVA. This happened a short while ago and since then I feel much more tired with aching joints. Is this coincidence? Overall my dose has been reduced from 100/day to 100 Mon-Fri and 75 Sat, Sun. This is addition to T3 12.5 mcg
