Good morning! I rang Michael last night as I saw elsewhere that he was quite unwell. At the start of the week he woke early feeling rather strange and thought it best to check his blood glucose level. It was fine but he was having trouble focussing on the phone screen (Libre 2 sensor). The room started spinning and then he threw up big time. This cycle of vertigo attacks followed by vomiting continued for several hours and he nearly called the paramedics - sadly the main thing that stopped him was some do-gooder might contact Adult Care ,although he uses a rather different term, whose main aim seems to put retired singles in care homes! It seems really sad that this is the situation but I have heard it from others! He only sipped water to keep yhdrated for 36 hours but is now on limited solids like toast, rich teas, scrambled egg, etc. Although he is starting to feel better to is totally drained! He has so mamy things going on that he says he sometimes limits what he does in a day - yesterday he tried to make sense of the four appointments he has for a single consultation and today he wants to go through bills. He says he will sort out the Mothers' Day Quix answers over the next few days but TBH he sounded washed out but strangely determined! Wishing yo well Michael!
Must start work soon. Most people work from home today so I come in as it is peaceful and more productive than home!

Please give Michael my very best wishes, I won't message him if he's having problems at the moment. I'm glad to hear he's starting to feel a bit better but I hope he at least contact's his GP just to be checked over. My husband's serious ill health last year started with him having trouble focussing.
Thank you for this I enjoy Michaels posts and was wondering what had happened about the quiz, thought maybe I had missed it. I wish Michael well and hope he recovers very soon 😊X.
Hoping Michael is feeling a lot better soon. He did a post quite a while back about his experience at a Macdonald's drive thru and a rude woman he encountered whilst queuing, makes me laugh every time it comes to mind.
I know I shouldn’t have done this, but! The other day I went with a friend to view a wheelchair accessible flat. As we were running late we went to a McDonald’s drive-through. The young lady behind us leaned on her horn and started mouthing something because we were taking too long to place our order. So when we got to the first window I paid for her order along with our own. The cashier must have told her what I'd done, because as we moved up she leaned out her window and waved to me and mouthed "Thank you.", obviously embarrassed that I had repaid her rudeness with kindness. When I got to the second window I showed them both receipts and took her food too. So she has to go back to the end of the queue and start all over again, We gave her meal to a homeless person begging at the edge of the car park.
Yes!! I would never have thought to do this so it both shocked and made me laugh at the same time! Sometimes it can be hard for those of us that try to be polite and considerate individuals. And we all have our limits. So I thought, yes, well done, Michael! Sending you my best wishes as you are always helping people on this forum x
Thank you so much for letting us know about Michael. Very kind of you to get in touch.
Dear Micheal I'm so very sorry to hear you have had this extra illness on top of everything else. I hope you get a little stronger every day. PLEASE do not worry about the quiz unless it helps you, we all inly want you to get well asap x
Thank you so much for the update on Michael. I was scrolling down and saw Michael has posted one of his wicked jokes. Nothing stops the man!!! He truly is an inspiration to us all.
Good morning; I spoke with Michael yesterday evening and he seemed more back to his usual self but still quite tired. He is hoping to try with his prothesis today as when he tried on Friday he didn't have the confidence to walk away from the wheelchair despite a week earlier getting back to where he was before his fall. Whatever it was really hit his digestive system which has been struggling for months because if the antibiotics. Co-trimoxazole caused multitude issues and Ciprofloxacin trigger finger. He thanks everyone for their good wishes and hopes to resume normal service soon.
