Rising Alkaline phosphates
In June of 2019 my AP was 427, normal is 45-129. I started on Ursodiol and the number started dropping. By Jan. it was 180 and has stayed about the same all year. I am tested monthly. The last few months its started rising, now it's 201. I see a Gastrointerologist PA. He says it's just because of fatty

Osteoporosis treatment
I have had RA for 38 years and taken steroids when necessary throughout this time. Had 3-yearly Dexascans, the last one showing I had Osteopenia. My stomach will not tolerate Alendronic acid or similar. I take Adcal but realise with 3/4” height loss I need to be on something that will increase bone

When should I be taking these vitamins and tablets?
Hi I’m currently pregnant and taking more tablets than normal so wondered if anyone had any advice on when I should be taking the following? Levothyroxine - I take it as soon as I wake in the morning then wait an hour at least before eating or drinking tea. Iron - twice daily - I take it around midday

Hello I am new here. I have longstanding CFS/ME and Osteoporosis. I have been prescribed Prolia and wonder if I am out of options.
Hello all! I am female, nearly 70, in the last 20 years I have developed multiple allergies and intolerances, so my diet is quite limited. I take D3, B12 in a spray, and try to incorporate calcium in my food, eg tahini. Vitamin C with plenty of lemon juice. I have never smoked and can't drink alcohol

Results : Organic Acid Test (OAT) from Great Plains Laboratory.
I wanted to share the details of the results for my mother, based on Urine test . Hopefully, this will help a few on this forum. I am only indicating the High/Low items in the report. The remaining ( of the total of 77 items) were within the Ref. Range. See attached sample report from their website

Covid 19 and vitamins - preliminary results of observational study
Research shows some vitamin supplements may have a small effect on COVID-19 risk December 1, 2020 Many people think that taking vitamins and other supplements can help maintain a healthy immune system. At the beginning of the pandemic, sales of supplements skyrocketed and vitamin shelves were stripped

Raising eyebrows on neuroinflammation: Study finds novel role for 'skin plumping' molecule
Scientists have discovered a novel mechanism and role in the brain for hyaluronic acid -- a clear, gooey substance popularized by cosmetic and skin care products. Hyaluronic acid may be the key in how an immune signal moves from the blood stream to the brain, activating the brain's resident immune cells

Timing of/taking supplements
Hi I already take quite a few supplements ie vits/minerals etc. Take magnesium, calcium, multi Bs, Omega 3, D3 etc. I've only just been more aware of the timing of taking them, when alerted to possible iron level issues with RA. As I'm also vegan, I have tried to separate certain ones like magnesium

Struggling with getting a diagnosis
Hello all! I am new here, just joined today. I have been having symptoms for approximately 5 years now. I've seen many doctors over the years with complaints of pain. I have seen two specialists. The first specialist told me that he 'thinks' I have endo behind my cervix but would need to do a laparoscopy

Supplements, choline, etc.
Hi everyone, I've been taking a centrum multivitamin, omega 3, and vitamin d supplement for just over a year now but recently got some choline as I have read in a few places it's good for liver problems however a search on here brings up nothing about choline. Does anyone else take it or have been told

? Osteoporosis
I fell off my e bike the other day, I cycle a lot and it’s the first time that has happened, and I think I have cracked a rib. I spoke to the surgery nurse but I haven’t seen anyone. It’s very painful and I was wondering if I should ask for a bone scan to see if I have developed osteoporosis? I have
