upset stomach on Avastin ?

hi , just checking if anyone had an upset stomach whilst on Avastin ? This is my 6th round of Avastin and in the last 10 days, I have had severe stomach pains. I’m seeing my oncologist on Tuesday but it’s useful to know if ananyone. else has these symptoms and if they managed to resolve it and keep taking Avastin ( Bevazicumab?

Hi there I had my 3rd dose of Avastin on Tuesday and these last few days have had some tummy pains in my stomach area. I currently have a UTI so am on antibiotics so not sure if it’s that, but I did google and it says it can cause stomach issues.

It can also cause bowel perforation so I’d say if your symptoms get worse you should contact your onc or CNS, so do keep an eye on it. Overall I’m finding the Avastin much easier than chemo although I am very fatigued on it as well.

hi there, I’ve had 9 cycles of Avastin alone so far (post chemo) and have had occasional pain in the stomach area. My gynac oncologist did tell me to be hyper vigilant about stomach pain for the bowel perforation possibility so I would suggest erring on the side of caution. All the best.

yes I would occasionally get belly pain. Talk to your doc re a med. Avastin kept me in maintenance for a number of years🙏👍🏻

Thank you everyone . Sadly , I just found out that Avastin isn’t working for me and I am changing to Caelyx . X x
