Hi I had injection 2 weeks ago. Eye blurry
My husband had this vein occlusion happen in December and has the same symptoms as you. Finally getting to see a retina specialist next week.
I had an Avastin shot in 2021 for myopic macular degeneration and it cured the bleed and distortion in a day. I am hoping it will work for him
He is 73 with 20/20 vision (before this) and no glasses. Now he has lost most vision in his left eye. This is his first eye issue so he is very frightened. Hates needles too! I will report back. Wish us luck!
Pray it goes well for him and he has good results
I have cobweb floater 6 month after macular hole healed. Is this caused by macular? Was told sight would come back after a few months maybe 6 - can drive and no gaps when reading but floater is annoying
I have degenerative macular disease for a year now and got my first avastin injection 3 days after diagnosis. By this time I was seeing waves and blurriness. The first shot didn't work very well. I got the second 5 weeks later and that one helped a lot. I could see much better and by the third shot 5 weeks after that I pretty much was seeing as good as I was prior to the diagnosis. My vision has now returned to normal, actually better than normal. I now am getting shots every 12 weeks and everything is going great. Hopefully get to every 16 weeks soon.
I think we all recognise how scary it is to have this problem in the first place and then face the treatment required. Hopefully you will have a good result and it will be worth the stress. Let us know how your husband gets on. All the best.
I had a BRVO three years ago, was injected with Eylea, my vision cleared and I haven't needed another injection since, though I do get regular retinal scans.
It was within a few days. My doctor said I respond to Eylea really well. He didn't know if I'd get all my vision back, but I did. Not everyone does.
