Electrophysiological study and catheter ablation for SVT
Hi there, ive been struggling with PSVT since 2018,ive had palpatations from a young age. On 10th March i had the above procedure, yet halfway through, they were unable to get my heart into the SVT rhythm which was needed to ablate the misfiring electrical cells as anyone elsand the procedure was abandoned

Following Cardioversion....
I am due to have my first cardioversion for persistent AF on 24th November and have just read on here that if it is unsuccessful there will be no chance of an
ablation
. I thought I understood from my Cardio/EP that an (
AV
?)
node
ablation
would be the next step but possibly with a pacemaker too.

Pacemaker for AFib
My Drug-resistant Symptomatic Paroxysmal Atrial fibrillation cannot be treated with catheter ablation, so I was recommended to get a dual-chamber Medtronic Azure XT pacemaker for treatment of AFib. Does anybody have experience with this PM?

SVT and what now
They had to stop the
ablation
due to being very close to my
AV
node
and said there was a risk of a pacemaker. However they said they were happy with the way the ablation went and called it a success. I was taken off meds .

Stroke on Apixaban
I was taking Apixaban for paroxysmal AF after a catheter ablation several years ago, which mostly cured me of the debilitating bouts of AF which I was suffering. The paroxysmal AF was hard for me to notice but detected by a monitor, and 'self terminating', so I declined Flecainide as I didn't fancy

Positive News
Hey lovely AFibbers. Been a while & I said I would post after cardio Appmt in Dec. I had my specialist consultation in Dec with the teaching hospital, my local district general had referred me to. It has been agreed that I will have to have surgical not catheter ablation due to my occluder device. However
