I had a pacemaker fitted due to persistent AF that was not responding to medication. I started passing out without warning so it was a decision I had to make. Due to the AF still persisting I had an AV node ablation 4 weeks later. I really thought that I could at last live a normal life. I am 75 years old and been under my consultant since 2006. However because I have a monitor with my pacemaker the pacing clinic called me to say that I have been in AF consistently. It is now permanent and I have really run out of options. My pacemaker ensures that I do not feel the beats too much but I am constantly breathless tired and unable to walk more than 5 mins. Has anyone else experienced this as although adapting to living this way if there is anything else to try I would
