PSA 4.5, 9% free PSA, 65 yo
65 yo, in good health, active. I've had BPH and mild cessation incontinence ~2yrs. Semiannual PSA tests have been 2.2-3.8, very weak upward trend. MRI last April was neg. Latest reading was 4.5 ng/ml, free PSA 9%. First time urologist has mentioned free PSA. He recommends another MRI in April '24. Consensus

Hi all, Almost two years ago my beloved husband and I received an unexpected diagnosis. With a PSA of 73, he was quickly and thoroughly scanned and biopsied to determine he has Stage 4 Metastatic Prostate Cancer. Many of you know that shock and horror. As the months have gone by and we rode this unfortunate

HELP WITH SIDE EFFECTS FROM ENZALUTAMIDE
In 2019 after a prolonged bout of diarrhea a blood test was ordered, the cause of the diarrhea was not discovered but the test indicated bone cancer. From there tests showed extensive bone mets and grade 9 Gleason APC. Chemotherapy radiation and firmagon followed. My psa went way down for about 18 months

Prostate Cancer (stage IV) identified in January and Small Cell Carcinoma (Neuro endocrine) in liver in August. Any suggestions?
In January, my dad was diagnosed with Prostate Cancer (Acinar Adenocarcinoma Prostate) stage 4, with PSA of 687. PCa had reached bones but not other major organs. He was put on Abiraterone and Degarelix. In August, PSA test showed that PSA had dropped to 2.7 and there was decrease in size and PSMA avidity

Medication after pluvicto
I’ve had 5 infusions of Pluvicto. My PSA went down slightly and then went up to 20.5. I will find out later this week if I will get the 6th infusion. What meds, if any, has anyone in a similar situation received?

PSA testing - time taken to separate serum
Dear AllJust wondering if there are members who can advise on if there are defined standards on how long can PSA blood samples remain within whole blood samples before they reach the end of their shelf life? I will explain that the NHS in UK have set a standard of a max time of 16 hours between the sample

Revised Plot of PSA vs Testosterone: Estrogen vs Lupron ADT
Ugh...I made a BIG mistake on the previous posting! I just realized that Dr. Morgentaler had listed the Testosterone level in unusual units (
ng/mL
), not the usual units of (
ng/dL)
. So, my X-axis was off by a factor of 10. Here is the revised plot. The exciting discovery is that the

Hey guys. Glad to find this group. 81 years old- Diagnosed 7 years ago with a Gleason 9 The Onc's finally scared me into having a radical but I refused to let them take my nerves. They told me I would be gone in 5 yrs. In retrospect wish I hadn't had the radical. Info and options were very hard to come

1st post-IMRT PSA = 2.1
I completed IMRT on 5/22/23. My last recorded PSA from 1/23 was 4.31. My 1st PSA draw on 8/22/23 came back 2.12. I've read and have been told that PSA doesn't go down immediately with radiation, unlike surgery, and can take up to 2 years to hit its nadir. The RO NP was happy and pretty much said that

CDK12 gene mutation
My husband continues to be hormone sensitive but Sept. 4, 2023 he developed intense and unrelenting pain in his right mandible. The oncologist and palliative care nurse prescribed morphine and dilaudid to help reduce the pain. These pain meds are helping although he can still feel pain and gets breakthrough

BRACA 2
I received my 1st dose of Pluvicto 2 weeks ago and have had a severe pain flare since then. I am wondering if anyone else had a PSA in the 1500’s with extensive bone Mets before starting as well as the BRACA 2 gene??

Recovery of Testosterone
We all have heard about how long it takes to recover testosterone after you stop ADT. You probably also heard how age affects recovery time. The older you are the longer it takes and the T may never recover. The type of ADT you take can also affect recovery time - shot versus pill. I am 78 and I have

11 days after 1st Lupron jab-no side effects
It's been 11 days since my first Lupron jab, (1-month dosage) and I am not feeling a single side effect. Not only that, I didn't feel the injection in my hip, nor any soreness afterwards. Nothing. No Casodex. No flare. When I went for the jab my PSA was 10.6 and my T-level was 354. I'm wondering if
