Had my first blood work done yesterday (Oct 5) and PSA is now at 0.56. Was over 9 in June.
So, I kind of feel good in knowing that as expected the meds are working and lowering PSA. Meaning I can move forward with the other 2 pieces of triplet therapy (darolutamide and docetaxel).

That’s great news. Congratulations. From my experience, if your PSA is that low, additional therapies are not warranted at this time. If your body responds well to Lupron, you will more than likely remain on that treatment. Good luck!
My apologies. I should have read your profile more carefully. I saw your low PSA which is great. After reading about your high Gleason and Mets, of course, the triplet therapy would be in your best interest. Again, my apologies. I know BC has a great prostate cancer facility. I’m a dual citizen - but I can’t beat my native California weather! Best of luck.🇨🇦🇺🇸
Great news!! Congratulations. I also had a Gleason 9, diagnosed at 52 with Mets to my right hip and lymph nodes. I was diagnosed and also started triplet therapy in Spring / Summer 2022. Radiation in winter 2022-2023
When do you start darolutamide? I was on the ADT for about 6 weeks before my first chemo session.
I’m about 15 months ahead of you and happy to answer any questions about my experience. Last 2 PSAs were undetectable.
Hi Alvin - I am working with the drug navigator now on the darolutamide. This resource just helps us Canadians navigate the insurance and co-pay world.
Can I ask why the radiation? I heard different things on that for those of us with mets.
We discussed wanting to be as aggressive as safely possible with my RO. Originally they only wanted to irradiate the prostate based on the STAMPEDE trial. But, we pushed for also doing my one bone met and my pelvic lymph nodes for maximum effect. He agreed that was the best approach for me.
