Return to Afib with a vengeance
Had two ablations the last one September 2020. Have taken Apixaban and 1.25mg Bisoprolol after reduction from 2.5mg. About December/January i stopped taking any Bisoprolol and after maybe 6/8 weeks I noticed when taking my BP I missed a heart beat every 30 or so. Instead of discussing with the Cardiologist

Slow pulse
My husband was in hospital for five days and on discharge was told AF. He had to go back on appointment for angiogram and was diagnosed with Arrhythmia. Now has low pulse between 40 and 50. Feeling tired but has two months before follow up. Should we let doctor know of such low pulse

Persistent AF
I have suffered with PAF for years and was offered an ablation 6 years ago. I didn't think my symptoms were bad enough to justify this and I managed quite well with Bisoprolol. However, I have now gone into what I think is persistent AF and have just had a telephone call from the cardiologist (which

My ablation that never was
So yesterday we got up at 4:30am to get ready for the drive to Bristol for my ablation. Showered, shaved, bag packed, all was ready. While the nurse was getting me wired up for an ECG the doctor arrived. I asked if he could answer a couple of questions for me. He had a look at my notes and said he would

? Lockdown induced Reduced Exercise Tolerance
I'm experiencing breathlessness, heavy limbs, Atrial Fibrillation palpitations and early nights. This has come about following a return to work after a period of lockdown. I'm assuming these are the effects of reduced exercise tolerance post lockdown. Has anyone a suggested return to fitness programme

Ablation or to stay away
Currently, I have highly symptomatic paroxysmal AFib with frequency 1-2 per month. Treatment with rate and rhythm control medications was not successful. I use flecainide as pill in the pocket (PIP) 2 X 100 mg so usually in 2-3 hours I am back to sinus rhythm. However, recently doctors told me that

My BP monitor detect when my blood pressure is out of range (120/80) by a Hypertension indicator, which is most of the time. And also when I'm on arrhythmia it shows a blinking littlie heart. This is at the time when I know I'm on AF, but when I'm not, that little heart is off. However, doctors say

Tikosyn and Eliquis Problems
I woke up with bradycardia on November 2, 2020 and had a pace maker put in same day. I developed afib 2 wks later, apparently from one of the wires being screwed in too far and puncturing my pericardium. On December 11, 2020 I had a cryro ablation. Then January 5, 2021 I had to go to the hospital as

No Afib since starting Ivermectin prophylaxis
I'm not making any claim. Just reporting my personal experience. (Photo: my weekend project. :) ) On Feb 19, 2021, I began the Ivermectin prophylaxis protocol for Covid protection, as outlined by FLCCC doctors. I have not had a single Afib episode since commencing this protocol. Prior to that, I had

Which high blood pressure medication does not affect RLS ?
Hi I have just been diagnosed as having high blood pressure and have been given Felodipine as my treatment but have noticed that it seems to be aggravating my RLS. Is there other medication which would be more suitable?

Ongoing AF with low HR
My AF seems to be back after four blissfully trouble-free years (for AF that is, not life in general, lol) . It started last Wednesday out of the blue and has continued ever since. Occasionally I get a reading on my Kardia of Sinus Rhythm with Supraventricular Ectopy, which is what I thought it was

Low blood pressure following AF episode
Does anyone else experience low blood pressure after an episode of AF? I had an AF episode yesterday afternoon which continued until the early morning. Now my heart rate is back to normal sinus rhythm but my blood pressure is very low (87/52). This has been happening for the past few episodes and

AF after cardioversion
Wednesday, day 34 in AF , I will be having a cardioversion. I am aware that cardioversion is a band-aid, but I have had three ablations already. One year 10 months post third ablation, I was doing very well, especially the last four months in a beautiful normal b.p.m. range, aided by Propafenone. Due

Cardioversion not available on the NHS?
Hello all I was diagnosed with fast AF two years ago and put on 5mg bisoprolol which seemed to control it for about a year. The episodes then got closer together and more severe and my dose was upped to 7.5 and then 10mg. As this still did not bring the rate down Digoxin was added but seemed to make

Atrial fibrillation and PMR
Had a pretty scary evening yesterday when I had 2 hours of intermittent rapid heartbeat top rate was 151. In between my rate never went below 80 at rest and my normal at rest these days is 60. Was dizzy, short of breath, and also had some chest pressure at the time. Cardiac background is I had an angiogram
