I just had my one year anniversary of my second ablation and have now had a year of no af and the only thing I still take is apixoban. I do get an ectopic beat every 50 or so beats on average and occasionally have had lots of ectopics where in my mind the afib is “ trying” to get going. I am not in

Post Wolf Minimaze - 11 days - feeling great
Post Wolf Minimaze - 11 days - I am off Eliquis for life since my surgeon Dr. Randall Wolfe at Houston Methodist Hospital clipped my Left Atrial Appendage. The LAA is where blood pools during afib and can cause a stroke. What a relief to have this done. I am currently AFIB free since 2/21/20 and was

I was diagnosed with Afib about two years ago. It is paroxysmal and originally I was having episodes every 4 to 6 weeks. I have been on propafenone since January and is has been working well. The last episode I had was on July 3 - until this morning. I woke about 2:30 a.m. and was in Afib. Did a kardia

Anyone here has experienced getting Afib after strong orgasmic event? Been shocked back into sinus rhythm but cardiologist does not feel this event caused my Afib but my mitral valve regurgitation. No question it was the strong orgasm as I experienced strong heart abnormal beats like your heart was going

3 months post ablation…..
Good morning from Texas…in the attempt to give us a new topic (without searching to see if it has already been discussed ad nauseam)… I’m 3 months post ablation with no Afib…hooray…but I have a 30-40 bpm heart rate jump when I get up in the night to visit the bathroom. After I snuggle back in bed it

Permanent AFib
So I have joined the ranks of being permanently in AFib. This has been for two weeks now, and to be honest it feels better than having periods of AFib. My journey started about 18months ago when I got short bursts of high heart rate and irregular beats. Since then it has got steadily more and more

The same old story
I’m a 75 year old male who enjoyed reasonable health until I was whisked to hospital about 6 months ago with a fib, and since then I’ve been struggling with skipped beats, particularly at night - I’d give anything for a relaxed night’s sleep. I know so many people are in the same boat, hence my heading

Should you see a Cardiologist Specialist?
After a few visits to A&E last year, commencing in June, I was diagnosed with PAF, started on Bisoprolol and Rivaroxaban, I eventually had an Echocardiogram in June this year with a report that all was okay. I have just returned to the gym and swimming this week. This morning I managed 6 lengths with

Newbie
Hi I’m a 65 year old woman. A nurse. First episode of paroxysmal atrial fibrillation was 2015. Started metoprolol 25 mg but after some heart pounders over the years added 12.5 at night. Had an episode of A Fib in September 5 and then November 9. Both times i went the ER, afraid of developing a clot.

2.5 years since my 3rd ablation
It has been awhile since I have last posted after my cardiac tamponade during my 2nd ablation and thought I would give an update and share the good news. My 3rd ablation went well and it has been over 2 years since I had it done. I have had no afib episodes since then. In fact I just had a heart

My Wolf Mini Maze update....
Its now been 15 weeks since I had the Wolf Mini Maze done by Dr. Wolf himself in Houston Texas (in the states). What a beautiful and exciting feeling it is to wake up and go through the day, bed over to scrub floors or do garden work, have several beers with friends or even a few cocktails, ride bike

Weight loss and exercise.
Just thought I'd drop a quick hello to you all. I hope your all safe and well. Looking for some advice on the best way to lose weight whilst living with Atrial Fibrillation. Finding it very tough to exercise without sending my heart rate into a high beat. Thanks.

Mini Miracle
I was diagnosed with Afib in late August. Had a cardioversion that lasted a week. Went on to Sotalol- kicking and screaming all the way. As of two days ago my 24/7 Afib stopped and I am in Sinus Rhythm. Dr. said it was due to Sotalol and if I stop it the Afib will return. My heart is enlarged noted

Cardioversion yesterday. On bisoprolol 7.5 for AFib but also needed post MI. Pulse 47/54. Will pulse gradually improve over next few days?
Had stemi. Cardiac arrest and stent fitted 3 months ago. Was in continuous AFib till cardio version. Bisoprolol was for AFib but also to help damaged heart muscle heal post heart attack ( best dose for that is 10mg). So trying not to decrease it. If I stay in sinus rhythm will my pulse improve?
